I just got diagnosed with lyme on Monday after seeing an LLMD.

I guess I am sort of lucky because I only had to search for three months for my diagnosis.

Found a tick in my hair three months ago, and a week later my body went crazy!

It all started with an ER visit when my right arm and leg went numb. Diagnosed with a complicated migraine!

Shortly after, all sorts of symptoms started popping up. From doctor to doctor I went. I'm sure you all know the story.

I have been tested for almost everything, and even saw a top notch neuro at Stanford. No one could explain why I had all these symptoms.

Of course, I was told it was stress and anxiety. I have even seen two psychologists!

I have been sick ever since I found the tick in my hair. Not extremely sick, but I feel sick almost everyday.

I never know what the day is going to bring me. Everyday seems to be a surprise symptpom wise.

Thank God for the internet, because it allowed me to research my own symptoms.

Now I am starting treatment, but I am scared. I have read a lot of people's stories and it makes me nervous.

I know this is a slow process, and I am anxious to get my life back. [Frown]

With symptoms for only three months your recovery should be straightforward and not too long.

Problems are much worse for those of us who weren't diagnosed for years or were treated by non-llmd's.

I had Lyme for 3 years before starting treatment and I am doing great after less than a year of treatment. You should be feeling better soon. Prayers for a quick recovery.

Hi there and welcome. I'm glad that you were diagnosed early too. Best of luck to you on your upcoming treatment.

I know when I was correctly diagnosed I was so very releived to put a name to what was literally destroying my life.

Glad you got a diagnosis early. That is no easy feat with lyme. [Smile]

Many of us you see still sick were sick a long time before we were diagnosed/treated

and then some more of us also have coinfections or secondary issues from being sick so long without treatment ...

so please try to remember that and when you read our posts... try not to let the stories on here worry u too much...

You should read sucess stories though... uwill see many get better [Smile]

Thank you everyone. I definitely have to remember that most people on here went undiagnosed for years.

The first time I read all these posts I was so overwhelmed, I basically had a panic attack.

The info is great though. I couldn't find this anywhere else.

Good Luck, I am new as well and scared as hell, as I have no idea how long ago I was infected, was a fluke discovery by a covering doc.

I'm new too and scared. i was diagnosed 3 wks ago, still waiting for lab results to confirm it all.

Its been about 8 yrs since i've been sick and too many docs. to keep track of, and all say too much going on.

I started searching the net for my symptoms and ended up here and want to thank all of you.

I think i have everything listed on here including coinfections, i feel like i only have a couple months left.

I can barely walk but yet i have to work so i rest 2 days and work 3, dont know how long though.

What should i expect now? will i get sicker? start feeling better with treatment?

truckboss, i checked your other post; sorry you forgot to mention the meds you are on and dosages plus your co-infections.

if yu are able to list each one going down the page vs. across ... easier on our neuro minds!

yes, you are going to get WORSE BEFORE BETTER .... that means the tick's spirochetes are BEING KILLED OFF IN YOUR SYSTEM.

you mentioned you've been sick 8 years so they have invaded many places in your body and it's going to take time to Zap those areas. they hide everywhere.

you are going to need your rest, so glad you are splitting up your work week, and please BE CAREFUL SINCE YOU ARE A TRUCKER!! we care about you! [group hug] [kiss]

i recently got done reorganizing my newbie package w/info with complete table of contents, so check it out below the line, and click on the link there.

i know i have some things on herxing; can't remember since i've been gathering thigns for 4 years now!
