I hear ya. I lost my last 3 jobs, almost lost my fiance and family.

I've smashed absolutely evrything I own/owned, and destroyed my fiance's things as well.

I destroyed a dozen chairs, punched hundreds of holes in the walls of my last 5 apartments, destroyed a ceiling fan by punching it which crushed the bone in my little finger (Had to have surgery/pins.), destroyed a TV, 2 computers, lacerations on my forearm, 2 kitchen tables, a hotel room, night stands, garbage cans, doors torn off hinges, kicked out the windshield of a car, smashed dashboards, radios with my bare knuckles (Which are all scarred up by now.)....I could go on and on!

I rage extremely hard EVERYDAY! I yell at my family and my fiance, claiming they don't understand my pain, I yell at Dr's. I threw a potted plant accross a waiting room at a Dr's office. Eventually I was locked up for three days in the looney-bin. That made my rage much, much worse.

I've tried almost every SSRI and anti-psychotic with absolutely no effect.

Then I tell this to a Dr. and thyey say, "well lets get you on Paxil, or lexapro, or some other crap! I can't hold the rage in. I almost abused one of my Dr's!

My psychiatrist cut me off cold turkey from my Valium, and wanted to go back on an anti-=psychotic that I already tried before!

I filed a formal complaint against her for delaying treatment, and under-prescribing. I also had a crazy plan against her which I can't even mention here.

What can you do for something so extreme?

Please don't tell me to go rent a comedy, or go for a walk in the park!!!!!!!!

It'll get better...back in the days when i figured out the only way i'd recover was to self-treat and some of the know-it-alls just kept saying 'go to the doctor' I could have destroyed an anvil.

the anvil is intact and so am I.

f&^&*cking a james, thats some anger. i noticed my worst rage was exarcerbated by sunlight/brightlights. when i went into a dark quiet area i would always calm down. give it a test. i was also on trilafon for a bit which was kind of like getting a tranquilizer dart.

Is it a coinfection that causes rage or is it lyme, itself??

I'm IFA positive for Bartonella (PCR Neg.) as well.

I guess Bartonella causes more rage than Lyme.

James, what you describe is gravely concerning. Did you have any of these symptoms before Lyme? I am wondering if you had a chemical imbalance before having Lyme.

This is an extreme case you are describing, and you really need to seek appropriate treatment ASAP. You are describing a very high risk situation. You could end up in jail or hurting yourself or someone else.

James, what leads you to say the bartonella causes more rage than Lyme? I tend to agree but I think both cause substantial rage. Do you notice a difference between bartonella and lyme rage? I'm curious. I did notice in reading accounts of bartonella rage that it often involved throwing/breaking things.

Another coinfection to consider is mycoplasma.

Hi James Marschner, My son has taken bicellin IM injections (8 of them) and got severe herx. He is going through high outburst/rage/anger uncontrollable with brain fog, confusion, cannot express good, derealization, talks to himself, laughs to himself, high irritability. surprisingly, he did not get rage/anger for 12 days in psych hospital. psych dr. prescribed trilafon which makes him calm.

any detox for anger/outburst specifically?. trying alkaseltzer, burbur, primrose oil. any suggestions, please.

I wonder if the rages are not also environmental as well? Smart meters, elec mag in the air, molds (as houses become more an more "sealed" and just recirculate inside air).?

Tx, could be. Maybe there's a mold connection too.

Doesnt have to be a problem.

ZERO alarm clocks here damaged, NO cell phones nor remotes.

ALL walls and doors intact and not replaced.

Keeps my 'cost of living' down.

Think excess rage needs 'something'
