Hi, all! I'm new to this site so this is my first post. My sister is gravely ill with late stage chronic lyme, and we are running out of treatment options. She's had years of abx's, to include 10 months of IV Rocephin. She was incredibly better after finishing the IV treatment, but over the past 3 years has continued to slide back - she may even be worse than she was in the beginning - I hear that may be kind of typical.

Anyway, due to dwindling finances, lack of improvement etc., we are desperate to find an answer and was wondering if any one has had luck with the sea salt/Vit C protocol? I found some pretty encouraging testimonials on-line - I'd like to believe they are credible. I don't think my sister can take another disappointment, mentally or physically.

Thanks everyone! God Bless!

susan, i think you'll get more responses if you post this under "medical" rather than general support, since technically it concerns a treatment protocol.

personally, i can't do the salt thing as i have high blood pressure and am afraid of so much salt raising the ole bp.

I can't/won't do the SaltC either. Can't basically because I'm VERY sensitive to Vit C.

I've only heard a few people who had great success with this protocol.

You can do a search here for past discussions by clicking on the little word "search" up above. Make sure you type in "Medical Questions" for the forum.

and yes... go to Medical Questions for more responses to your question here. Not as many hang out over here!

PS... I would invest in a Rife machine for your sister. You can get them for as little as $450.

I was a fool and tried the salt/C protocol for a year and saw absolutely no improvement. Those who have seen improvement have been on it for years or are adding in many other protocols.

Personally I think it can really mess up your electrolytes, heart, and kidneys.

This is just my opinion and my heart goes out to your family as antibiotics did not work for me, either.

Dangerous, stresses the heart and kidneys and doesn't cure lyme. Don't do it.

Justed wanted to say that when I first became a member here last September I tried the

salt/vitamin C protocol. Even though I am overweight and an older woman I had never had high blood pressure.

After trying this my blood pressure did go up and I have been on a high dose of b/p medicine ever since.

I still have vitamin c left over and the salt but will not take it because I think this is what brought it on.

I also have a difficult time keeping b/p under control.
