When people say, " I've had it up to here !" what exactly do they mean?
I've tried to ignore a lot of lyme community events in my own region (town, even) with the excuse of i'm-gonna-get-better and i-don't-need-to-remember-how-doggone-sick-i-looked-three-years-ago. I'm BSing myself and I know it. Getting fully better could take anywhere from 1 to maybe 2 or 3 years.
Today I got thrust towards my personal level of 'here'. I'm seventeen years old BTW (semi relevent but hang with me) and a couple years ago when I was more active, a lot sicker, and more pent up angry I exchanged numbers with a girl my age who had Lyme much, much worse. I still felt sick but the anger turned to depression when I realized how everyone this disease has touched suffers so unbearably.
I want to get her to my LLMD, whom I'm positive would know which tests would help her better then her different treatment plans. (Blood UV treatment kind of backfired, she told me so and sounded so sick on the phone it was hard not to cry.) She lives on the opposite coast from me and cannot do airlines because of Multiple Chemical Sensitivities.
Pushed to the part of my blissfully-blank mind is another friend who's had such odd GI problems and times of sickness, I'm starting to see the Lyme. Where is your 'here' ? When you realize Lyme has affected more people (UNKOWNINGLY!) then probably three similar well-known chronic conditions combined? When you hear the more personal stories of victims?

nicely written rant; it came from the heart!
i heard you say you want to help 2 other lymies or POSSIBLE lyme folks.
have your friend on opposite coast post in SEEKING DR. forum. there are many on coast lines, it's in MIDWEST that we're deprived of any llmds!!
we'll help her find llmds as close to where she lives! same on other person...
best wishes; thanks for being a GOOD FRIEND and trying to prevent them from being as sick as you are!!

Alexis, Ranting is good for the soul. Please tell your friend to come here to Lymenet to have her questions asked and answered and get some comfort.
Could you correspond with her parents and tell them where to look for help?
