Beginning Sunday afternoon, several parts of Kentucky got hit hard, from some of the remnants of Hurricaine Ike, which wasn't really called for.
Over a period of several hours, a wind storm transpired, which spawned winds in excess of 70 m.p.h.
Many people were left without any power, due to power lines, which were blown down, for quite awhile.
As a result, quite a few people are still without any power, as of right now.
In the process, many businesses, homes, and trees were damaged, as well.
Other than a broken wooden swing, thankfully, I'm alright.
I was without power, for a long while, but gratefully, my power has since been restored.
As of 9 a.m. this morning, my cable, internet, and phone, are working also.
Several businesses, government offices, and schools are closed today, while power continues to be restored and cleanup is being done.
I hope and pray anyone else, within Hurricaine Ike's path, is alright also!
Love, Light, & Health, Jennie

Sorry to hear the same thing happened to you Saturday night!
Glad to hear you're okay too!
Hope the many in your area, who are still without power, get their's back soon!
I'm thankful to not be in the Houston or Galveston, etc. areas too, right now, as I sure bet it's a mess down there!
I'm thinking and praying, for so many of you, who've been affected, in some way, by Hurricaine Ike!

Happy to hear, although many of your family are there, they're okay!
I hope and pray they all get their power back soon!
Electricity is something we definitely take for granted and you're right, it sure is hard to not have it, especially longterm!

Glad you are okay.
Those storms are so full of energy.
Kinetic energy that basically traversed the whole Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico.
Good news is Both of my sisters had power restored today in Spring, Texas.
I went without power longer in Gustave.
It is a long road to recovery for all.
My prayers continue to go out to those affected.
Hugs,
Geneal

Yep, this hit Cincinnati, too. We didn't lose power, but my husband's office is still without power. There are over a half million in our area with no power and they say it could be a week for it all to be restored.
My family in TX is still without power.
1/3 of the traffic lights in the state of Ohio were out according to one news report I read!!
