Hi, Just wondering how you Samento users are making out? I have been on it for 12 weeks now and up to 18 drops a day (Thats all i can handle) Also taking P73 Oil of Oregano, Alpha Lipoc Acid, and a bunch of other stuff.I am worried that my protocol (on my own) is not enough..any success stories Samento?

kick,
i suggest you move your post to MEDICAL forum; this question belongs there vs. support ...
Welcome; i'm so glad you found us!! You've come to the right place for education and support!
Fyi: we have over 1000 viewers daily; 200 - 400 posting/replying; so specific titles get our time/replies. non-specific ones, i sob, scroll on by!
Also, please be very specific in the subject line what you will be discussing so more people will be able to assist you.
Dr. Burrascano's most recent "Diagnostic Hints and Treatment Guidelines for Lyme and Other Tick Borne Illnesses" @ http://www.ilads.org/burrascano_0905.html suggests that you discuss with your doctor continuing treatment until you are symptom free for 2 months.

I was on Samento for some time, and the answer for me is yes and no. It helps, but it won't cure you. My first doctor diagnosed with Lyme and put me on Samento and many other alternative therapies. They all helped, but after a point I stopped making progress.
Once I started antibiotics I made the very big improvements I was looking for. Being on antibiotics is difficult, but it is worth it!
I have just started a blog, www.lymestory.com, about my experience with Lyme disease. It is positive and inspirational, and I hope also helpful for those with Lyme. Please read it if you are interested!
Thanks!
Naomi

Samento is not enough alone.
I know of 3 lyme patients who believed this was all they needed and for a whole year stuck to this. 2 of them have excellent self-care methods; one better than average self-care.
all three of them are still VERY ill.
Samento - or even the regular cat's claw - may each have their place.
However, it is NOT by any stretch of the imagination enough.
there are a couple excellent complementary protocols.
I suggest first, reading the ILADS guidelines, learning all you can about the spirochete forms.
then check out the Singleton, Buhner, and Zhang books. I listed them all at the thread you have in the medical section.
However you cut it, this is a complex puzzle that requires combinations of specific agents, whether pharmaceutical, complementary, or both.
