I've been reading about COQ-10 and wondering if any of you take that supplement. It sounds like something I need and also if there are preferred brands. Thanks!!

CoQ10 is very good supplement. Sounds like you've read about some of the benefits.

I used (had to stop since i'm on Mepron)to take the Pure Encapsulations brand "EPA/DHA with CoQ10". They are a reputable brand and I believe that the concentration of the fish oil combined with the CoQ10 made it more reasonable to buy in combo instead of separately.

If you are taking Mepron or Malarone you should not take CoQ10. It will make your medicine less effective.

The original ILADS Treatment guidelines by Dr. B said CoQ 10 is REQUIRED as a supplement (if I recall correctly. If not required, very strongly suggested and at a pretty high dose).

From www.vrp.com, this links to a list of the 15 articles about CoQ10:

CoQ10-H2 is the newer form.

Very good point from Sammy about when NOT to take it.

hey there, i started taking coq10 not too long ago and it seems to be helping me out quite a bit. i also take n-acetyl cysteine and alpha lipoic acid, they all pretty much work in support of each other. but yea, as commented, Dr B's guidelines say to take it.
lord knows us lymees need all the detox help we can get [Embarrassed] )
I'm a supporter of it!

Good luck

Today, Dr. Burrascano does say CoQ10 is required, but not to take with certain anti-babesia drugs:
