My 19 year old daughter who has just been clinically diagnosed with lyme (awaiting test results from a doctor in Wilton) categorically refuses to see our primary of 17 years because the doctor cannot entertain the thought of any cause aside from psychological and claims my daughter is "using" the situation to escape responsibilities. This doctor also refused to consider lyme as a possibility. It is scary not having a primary to deal with our secondary medical issues (we went to the emergency room for a UTI.) Any suggestions? We are located in Cheshire and I welcome a private response.

I do not wish to discourage you, but I have been dealing with lyme for 7 years now.
I had one primary doctor that I had to have someone drive me an hour and a half out of town that would help me get things through the insurance that my lyme doc prescribed.
I even had trouble getting some supplies needed through the local pharmacies in town.
So, went an hour and a half out of town and got the supplies through the insurance without any problems.
Bizarre!
But, I saw over 7 primaries before I found this guy and over 35 specialist.
I currently am in need of a primary doctor again.
The one I have now did help with water therapy.
Good luck. Hopefully others will come along with more positive help.
