aawww honey your not going to die. Just feels like it sometimes. I am so sorry you are sick with this.
The symptoms from Lyme are sometimes explained as waxing and waning, kinda like a rollercoaster ride.
You just have to ride it out. Like skylord said, you will be getting what is referred to as a herxheimer reaction when the bacteria starts dying off(feels like a really bad flu)
Try and give yourself positive messages like "okay, I'm not gonna die, I have to relax" The people here are very supportive and kind so post when you need help.
Feel Better,
Gael

Dying from lyme is pretty rare....unless you've had it for years and years untreated.
FEELING like you're dying from Lyme is common though!!!
Hang in there!!!

Lymetoo,
When you say "years and years", how many years are we talking here? I think I had it at least 5 years before getting diagnosed. Dying from this disease is a fear of mine as well.

While people do in fact die from lyme, especially if combined with babesia, you are definitely gonna be okay, since you've started treating! I got through lyme and basesia without dying-- Though when it was bad it sometimes seemed even worse than dying!
Babesia can, in fact, be fatal even without Lyme, especially to people without a spleen.
(I have no spleen, and I was really sick until I did multiple artimisimin/atovaquone treatments.-- but I'm "still kicking!") I wish you constant improvement! Daves

the person who probably knows this the best is melanie rebers who has lymememorial.org site. obits are there, etc.
to my knowledge some causes are: kidney failure, congestive heart failure are the 2 that come to my mind; perhaps pneumonia/double when your lungs are not functioning well.
i'm NOT giving up until they close the coffin lid on me!

Yes, how many years is too long really? I've been sick for 12 years, was just diagnosed, so no treatment. I remember having the feeling like I'm dying constantly syndrome back in highschool after I got sick, and I have that now again.
I think after hearing that Leslie died, it just scared me, as reality set it.

Do we know what Leslie died from? Maybe she had other illnesses not ever mentioned!

I had heart palpitations and chest pains on the left side of my chest before I got treatment.
The only treatment I've received was doxycycline, and I've had no heart symptoms since.
