Not sure if this is good news or not...

Just was notified that state dept of epidemiology will

Be placing Co2 devices (requesting our help to place on our properties)

In the next couple of weeks.

They want to "see" how many ticks they get (tons I am sure)

And test them for Lyme. Hopefully co-infections too.

It is all very interesting and yet somehow....disturbing.

Not sure if they will disclose any accurate results they get.

Or if they are using this as a method to discredit those of us (12/13)

In our area with Lyme disease. [Roll Eyes]

I know that the ticks have been extremely busy around here.

Pulling 3-4 off each dog daily. [Eek!] Dog ticks, deer ticks and lone star ticks.

I'll keep you posted as I learn something new.

Hugs,

Geneal

Wow, that's kind of exciting! I hope that they find TONS... Any idea if they are doing them anywhere else in the US??

Take care,
Ocean

You could also do you own study. I saw a person walking along with a large white flag dragging for ticks in the video.

Not sure who you would send them to though.

I guess my concern is two fold.

They find Lyme....but don't tell us (we already know the answer though).

Or, like Igenex, have difficulty isolating the disease in ticks.

I know of too many people who sent their ticks in to be tested,

Got a negative test on the tick,

And went on to development Lyme. [shake]

Hmmmmm.

Since maybe we are very close to the NIH funded BioWeapon facility,

Where they developed the C6 Peptide test,

They can use that....it is supposed to be very sensitive (95% or greater).

Maybe just this once Louisiana can get something right. [Roll Eyes]

Hugs,

Geneal

Hi Geneal,

Hopefully this study will be to your benefit.

The CDC conducted a tick drag about 40 miles north after a veterinarian diagnosed 16 cases of Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever in 2006. These were all confirmed cases.

I'd love to find out the results of those tests. I think we could use the Freedom of Information thingy to get these reports.
