due to several nasty responses to my posts,
i have decided to leave lymenet again, until such
time as i deem appropriate.
i will be writing several books on childs and one adult and may present a paper for publication.

i can not be dealing with this pettyness any longer.
i have deleted my posts, the ones i could find.
please do not pm me or ask for my help.
gigi knows everything about dentistry and will be the new dental consultant for all your dental needs.

i have the emails of people that i need to contact.
thanks lou, betty, robin and other for supporting me to try to help this forum.

adeiu,

let us hear how writing your books and publication go on kids and adults!! i'm sure it will be GOOD info!

i'm going to miss seeing your name on the board, but COME BACK when you want to.

anything earth shattering here, i'll send you an email. see you later dave! take good care of yourself. betty

Hi LymeNet Users,

NOTE: I posted the following in another Topic but I'm repeating it here for obvious reasons.

I'm one of the Moderators and System Administrators of the LymeNet Flash.

The LymeNet Flash has specific rules that address posts that are unlawful, threatening, abusive, hateful, harassing, knowingly false, defamatory, sexual oriented, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, vulgar, obscene, profane, or otherwise objectionable, which encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any law, called Terms of Use, that are here:
http://www.lymenet.org/terms.shtml

Recently, there have been no reports to me and none that I know of to the other Moderators. You can report an objectionable or offensive post by clicking on a Moderator's UserName, which are listed at the top of each Forum or you can email me; [email protected]

All we ask is that you provide specifics (the UserName of the alleged offender and what you find to be objectionable or offensive) and a link to the Topic / post you are reporting. We will review and take appropriate action.

Generally in the instances where we do take action, (deleting a post, asking a user to show respect and, in the case of serious or repeated violations, banning a user) I've seen things settle down very quickly. So, if you see a situation that you believe requires our attention, report it. We can't possibly read and review every Topic / post on LymeNet so we need you to be our eyes ... we can't help you if we don't know you need our help.

In my 12+ years volunteering here at LymeNet I've seen the best and the worst in people but overall the good, respectful people here far, far outnumber the bad, disrespectful people. And the best of the best are here on LymeNet carrying on the vision of Lyme victims helping Lyme victims!

Take care,

--------------------

Doc Dave - I don't know what is going on here. It seems there has been some kind of disrespect and mean words directed to you. I'm sorry you have had to endure this.
I too had my day - some time back someone was judgemental and cruel.
Thing is this is an angry world and there are cruel people out there.
I don't think you should leave the board because you help many people. Think of the "Newbies" who need love, understanding and support.
In time I think you will realize there are only a few bad apples in this bunch. Please don't take the abuse personally.
Very Best Wishes
-p

DOCDAVE, have read some of your postings and you will be missed.

Don't know the specific posts which have driven you away, but I have taken my knocks for helping others. Remember this quote.

"If others will lie about you, live you life in such a way that no one will believe them."

This forum is very important, as is every member. However, we are dealing with many personalities.

Some are problematic because that's who they are. Others are reacting to meds and the illness, and perhaps being irritable and unwise.

After you take time to heal, it will be good to have you come back. Wishing you blessings, and good luck with your writing!!

Gee, I feel like the innocent are being punished because of the actions of the few bad apples. Please don't leave. We have so few medical professionals who will give advice here.

Ticks bite all kinds of people, the nice and not so nice. And brain diseases can cause personality disorders and abusive behavior. Keep that in mind when reading the responses of some posters.

once again, i am totally clueless as to what happened. i don't read many of the posts or pass on by those that don't apply.

i've always found your responses to be informative, kind, and appropriate.

i'm so sorry you feel you must leave. i hate to see you go. it's nice to have "professional" advice once in a while.

maybe after a period of cooldown you'll hopefully reconsider.

i hope so.

Oh no! Please don't go Daveeeyy!!!

I haven't even got around to welcoming you back yet, and now you are leaving?!

DocDave, you know that people with neurological diseases are notoriously fractious. Folks here can really use your hard-earned wisdom, kind advice, and as Robin said, your humanity.

And I haven't even gotten around to ask you about my receding gumline yet!

Lots of people here who appreciate you. My advice; ignore the negative posters, they are always more of a reflection of themselves than their intended targets.

Dr. Dave,

I was only able to benifit from your wonderful, knowlegable and encouraging posts for a short time. Too short. I've only been here for almost a year now and have not been on the site for a few months at a time due to being to ill.

I can't say that I blame you; nobody should have to deal with that! When trying to help others and keep yourself healthy at the same time, you don't need anything negative in your life.

However for selfish reasons and for others that are in such need of your posts, I REALLY HATE TO SEE YOU GO!!!!! Thank you for ALL of your posts!!! Is there anything that I can do to help in your goals and what you are doing???

Lou,
I tried to get in touch with you last night to report the nasty personal attacks that one person is doing and not just to Dr. Dave.

After reading your post here, I can see that I probably went to the wrong add.!!! I went to the first one and wrote all of the info. you listed. But after so many things like, the needed info. on my HTTP, that I got so confused I couldn't get it through. It is just me.

Do you want me to send you details to your e-mail???? Please let me know if you do as I really feel this person needs to be contacted by y'all at the VERY least!

This person has caused 2 valuble, very sweet members to leave!!!

Dr. Dave, again I am soooo sorry! I pray for wonderful success in all you do!

OH----I know that Lyme does affect and can change personalities, cause Psyc. disorders. I deal with it everyday as my whole family is ill and had been affect in this way one way or another.

But, I just can't understand posting on a thread and leaving comments that have NOTHING to do with the subject; leaving a personal nasty attack! I don't know, but that is just down right HATEFUL!!!!

Many prayers and blessings to all!

Janet

Dearest Dave,

Well, I am finally able to come back here and poof, a kind, helpful and enlightened friend is LEAVING! [bonk]

I don't know what happened but I do remember some people who attacked others here because of misplaced anger or cognitive problems.

You have hundreds more friends here than attackers....keep that in mind. [kiss]

I hope you find some relief away from the net for a while. But PLEASE come back.

You did something VERY SPECIAL for me recently and I happen to know that your heart is pure and your desire to help is very, very real. [Wink]

Blessings,
Janet [group hug]

As usual I don't know what's going on but will put in my two cents anyway....

.....don't go......

When some folks post stuff I don't like I make a point to ignore their posts.

It drives them nuts!!! LOL!!!
