I got into medical school! Now I can be one of those rare "compassionate doctors" who actually Listen to what their patients are telling them.
Me = 1 Spirochetes = 0

Congratulations Jen!
That is an awesome accomplishment.
It should be a fascinating experience, the education and training.
Best wishes, take good care of your health, and keep writing! Perhaps you can keep a journal about what it is like (blog?) to be in medical school.

Congrats!, I am praying for the day that Lyme Disease will be a specialty like cardiology and only Lyme Literates will be able to help you. A regular doc has no business treating a Lyme patient when it is a very complicated Disease that requires expertise and proper training. I know you will be a great LLMD mine is awesome too she knows we are very sick and she needs no convincing of that.
God speed and Good luck!

Congratulations!! Its a great accomplishment for anyone, but especially someone who has been so sick. Way to go. You are a wonderful inspiration for many people. My son is 12 and has been saying he wants to be a reconstructive surgeon for years hopefully he can follow your footsteps and make it despite the Lyme. congrats again!

Awesome Jen! So happy for you! I was Biology/pre-med major in college, til Lyme struck again (not knowing it was Lyme). My brain started to go and the panic attacks came, so I would up switching over to nursing and became an RN. I have a dream of beating this thing once and for all (instead of relapsing all the time) and going back to Med school.
