Well I dunno about the rest of the post but I am glad someone made a list of the most popular for lyme states. I mean, on this forum, of course.

I wish we had one in Florida. I am driving 17 hours to see a LLMD. I know a lot of people in FL who need a LLMD.
Most people don't think there is Lyme in Florida. The one doctor here who treats was run off by the other MDs.
The criticized him and called the board on him all the time. Ran him out of two local towns already!!

The "95 corridor"(Metro DC to Metro Boston) contains about 20% of the US population. CA accounts for another 15% and Texas is closing in on 10%. The only relative hold out is the 4th most populated state: Florida.
The suburban areas in the eastern corridors are heavily populated with people and deer. CA suburban sprawl has a lot of housing in areas that were fairly wild 10 years ago. Not surprising that the TBDs are endemic in these areas.
I don't see how Florida can hold out much longer. Half of my elderly neighbors spend their winters in FL. My neighborhood is chock full of deer, rabbits, squirrels, and chipmunks. The ticks are probably hitching rides south, as we speak!
