Excuse me....but I don't think this is lyme related.
Unless of course...unsocialness is a symptom....which it probably is since those of us struggling are too unwell or ****ed off to be with those who are not.
Sorry, I am remembering once again to go away and leave myself alone

My hot date is on one computer and I'm on another. We are both plugged in to the electricity. Can't get much hotter than that!

my hot date is sleeping right beside me and my pc 1 foot from his side of bed!
do any of you watch EXTREME MAKEOVER on CMT, M-F at 7 pm CST?
the last 2 weeks they've had the older shows which we never saw.
last night and tonight were 3 tearjerkers!! seeing how these folks were living.
1. black MOLD started in small area. family moved out into hotel. gone 1 wk and it took over entire house going up walls/into ceilings! yuk
2. last night about a man with T Cell cancer; a rare one. his wife had died earlier, and they had 3 kids. his sister moved in with her 2 teen kids, and they were living in a small run down trailer home.
ty/crew built them a 5,000 sf house. they didn't send them anywhere except local expensive hotel since dad had to be by hospital due to extreme illness.
he had to go into hospital, and took turn for worse; it was not known if he'd make it 2 days until house was done.
he did make it, and watched from his hospital room with their getting his reaction and every word.
later he got better and was able to GO HOME TO ENJOY it; he loved his bedroom. they didn't say if he died later or not....good ending.
3. tonight it was tribute to america's 1st woman killed in iraq, lori pe......., sorry can't remember names worth a darn. she was in same jeep as jessica .... who was captured and held until americans broke her out of hospital !! she was in it all and helped family compose video and writing letter.
she promised lori, her roommate, she'd help get a SAFE home for her 2 young kids and her parents who are raising lori's 2 young ones.
they dedicated 1 room to lori with all things sent as gifts/letters after her death....very moving!
also brought in a pre-fab house and made it into a community center for ALL WAR VETERANS! wow, what a tearjerker. 1 of them talked to CODE TALKERS who got our war news thru to americans!
talk about a feel good show; i often wonder if ANY OF US/YOU LYME PATIENTS who have hit rock bottom will be on there.
i was involved last year in a letter campaign for uncle mike's niece, alex hermstad, iowa, 16 now, who is on ventilator/paralyzed and can't talk and lives in their living room. dad sleeps on furniture right beside him. they were not selected yet.

eric,
she offered you her friendship; let go of your EGO, and if she means anything to you; let her into your lyme life.
let her learn by watching under our skin, etc. you;ve chosen to become a hermit. someone is knocking at your door ... let them in; opportunity knocks once only!

She is just one of those people who always wants to go out and be entertained...
Im just in no position or have the energy to do any of that at this point...
And for her to see me as I am now, in bed, sick and so emotional about all this...
I just dont know.
I know what you mean but hope you understand what Im saying...
What do you say, still try ???
Thank you.
Best regards, Eric

What's a hot date?
The last time I was on any kind of date with my hubby was when my soon-to-be 5 year old was 4 months old.
Unless you count the time we went to the ER and someone else came and got the kids.
Even then hubby sat out in the car to get some sleep while I waited till 2am for the doctor to come in and tell me I was just a mental case and to not come back to the ER.

Havent been off the porch in 10 days,,,let alone the driveway.
My hot date consists of me watching the cobwebs flutter in the breeze.
You all are about the only people I talk to. Somebody stopped by twice cause they needed to talk about 'something'.
I NEED to clean my house,,its getting bad,,,how do I motivate myself to DO the kitch???(I HATE that job worse than anything else)

Not always, but sometimes a girl can be surprisingly understanding.
I know you feel like dirt... but if you'd like a friend and she is willing... invite her over. If she isn't happy... she doesn't have to come back... and you'll know where you stand.

ummm, i'm kind of with eric on this a little.
sometimes when you're just so down, you don't need a chatty or party person around egging you on. even the noise of their just talking would probably put me off.
geez, don, i should come visit you.....i don't clean, i persecute. it relaxes me. but i'm an organizational freak, even my spices are alphabetical!!!
hubbie right about one thing -- if he gets up at night, i make the bed!!!
must be the military upbringing. like flipping a dime on the sheets...
er, sorry, off topic...a hot date for me is a bath!!!

Why not try the old paper bag on the head trick when she gets there?
You can draw a nice smiling face on it and keep it on till she agrees to be nice about how you are doing and feeling.
And do what my family does when I get talking. Turn the TV up or use ear plugs.

My hot date tonite - with probably at least a hundred thousand folks - the Chinese New Year's parade!! Year of the ox, and a lot of them looked pretty golden.
Lots of brilliantly colored dragons, handsome marching bands and drill teams, school groups in beautiful costumes, gorgeous floats, queen's court and queen, and yes, firecrackers.
I finally located the TV camera area, with its bright lights up on high cranes. Then along comes the Chinese Chamber of Commerce float with zillions of giant red firecrackers pointed towards the sky.
Unbeknownst to me, they were about to be set off for the grand finale, of sonic booms and shooting geysers, in front of me!
I was on the phone to another Lyme patient, reporting in, and suddenly I'm screaming and laughing, doing a sudden rendition of a stampeding ox that can't get out of there due to the large crowd.
I think it's going to take a week for my eardrums to recover. What's that, you say? I can't hear you...
Gung hay fat choy. Bang, bang, bang!!!

omt, you missed my other post where i told hubby/i pulled out and laid recliner sofa on it's knees ... found newspapers & some magazines from ONE YEAR ago down there with almost a bowl of popcorn kernels and OLD MAIDS!! i was so embarrased!
editing to add my "rest of the story" ...
finally got my monthly vacuuming done on floors and again.
SURPRISE...finally tackled lifting our heavyweight recliner sofa up and tipped over to get ALL my popcorn kernels not eaten and the YEAR of newspapers and magazines that fall off the top where i neatly put them!! uffda; embarrassing.
now to rest for the next month.
after vacuuming, got a phone call from electrolux service rep. they'd be in my area next tuesday and would stop by to give my vacuum it's ANNUAL checkup.
now it's 11 years old, and 1st time i'd heard about this detail!!
they'd bring more bags/special bag to get rid of extra stuff in air. told him i'm fine; i don't vacuum often due to my health.
well, when my guy is there, i'll him vacuum YOUR HOUSE!! [bonk] [bow]
told him you should have called 30 minutes earlier and saved me a back ache! [Frown]

The frequency of vaccuming in our home is directly related to how bad the area rug in the kitchen looks, or the imminent arrival of company.
Just as watering plants is driven by the droopiness of the peace lillies in the sunroom, and other cleaning is driven by how much I am able to ignore in any given week.
As long as everyone is fed, has clean clothes to wear, and you can't shovel the dust, I'm good!
Hey Tincup, weatherbug says it's going to be nice temps in spite of the rain we got tonight. So it looks like Florida will get a repreive from the icy weather they've been sending us from up North.
It was actually 19 degrees here last week! Yesterday's weather made up for it though. Had the whole house open and even planted a few flowers. Perfect!!
