I hope things are ok by now. This can be very scary. I drive a van for a local bus contractor and have 2 different runs daily.
A 7 year old has been off since surgery in Dec due to complications. Last week he had a cold then a stomach virus. He had two seizures on Tues evening and never recovered. Very tragic.
One must cherish their family and friends daily for you do not know what tomorrow will bring. lmt

This makes me so mad that we have to sit here and accept these things on a daily basis....Evil lurks.
AS seekhelp has said, something bigger than IDSA is behind all of this.....no one can have theri heads in the sand this far.
God Bless and care for you, Feelfit

Thanks for the info Betty, I will check the link you suggested.
How tragic, I really hope she is doing better today. This just stinks, I hope her babies aren't too worried, I can only imagine what she is going through.

Oh, Lou,I am so sorry to hear about Lori. Praying for support for all of you as you go through this and certainly that she will be feeling better very soon.
It makes me think of Mandy's seizures in UOS. Am just wondering if Dr. J could shed some light for you on the connection between lyme and seizures and what can be done about it.
Mighty prayers for you all.

Thank you all so much for your prayers........
Lou and I have been at Lori's for the last few days. Her husband had to go to work so we went there and took care of her and the grandbabies.....Jordan, our granddaughter, age 5, and Cade, our grandson, age 9.
It seems all they found in the hospital was that she had a sever sinus infection and a UTI.......even though she suffered Bell's Palsy, passed out and had a seizure.
I believe that she's under a lot of stress from working as a teacher and trying her best to take care of the house and kids.....and, because of Chronic Lyme, suffers these problems.
Anyway.....just wanted to drop in to say "thank you" to all you wonderful people.
God bless all of you.
Love, Angela

Lou and Angela, as hard as this is on all of you, I know your daughter's condition must be eased by having such loving and faithful support. She, your son-in-law, and your grandchildren will never forget how you cherished them all and how steadfast you've been.
Best wishes for all of you.

Love and prayers to the Bachman family!
Praying that they figure out what is wrong and fix it.
Please check for exposure to mold in her environment (home and school) in case that is playing any part in her current relapse.

Our heartfelt wishes and prayers are with you....and please Lou, take care of yourself as well...you don't need another setback.
We are terribly sorry to hear about this. It certainly sounds without a doubt Lyme related. We hope Lori mends quickly and that the stress does not take it's toll on you.

update i got from lou 2-3 nights ago; he was going to write and i've not heard anything nor has he been here .... exhausted!
so i'll post what he sent me & angela's note to tincup...
********
Betty,
Thank you so very much. Lori is OK. I'm exhausted. Will update you tomorrow.
Following is Angela's email response to Tincup tonight:
Tin,
Thanks so much for caring. Lou and I were up at her house for two days taking care of the kids and cleaning, etc.
He's such a good grandpa and Dad, Tin. Yesterday he took Jordan and Cade out to the supermarket because Lori needed some stuff for the house.
Cade, having Autism, is very precise and wanted to know is this short?.... Then Louie said something like.....Yes, you're short.......NO, NO, grandpa, I mean is this going to be a short time...how many things are on the list? Lou gave him a number.......let's say ten.
From there on, every time they put something in the carriage, Cade would ask........How many left now?
Jordan, on the other hand, ran from here to there........Grandpa, buy this for Mama.....she loves it!.......Grandpa, Mama loves these crackers!.....etc, etc.
Then I had mentioned to her that it would be nice to bring home some flowers for Mommy because she wasn't well and also because it was Valentine's Day.
Well, of course there was a huge selection and she wanted this one or that one or at the end.....maybe we can buy TWO??? No Jordan, just pick one..................and Cade was saying........are we leaving yet?
Anyway, Lori relaxed for a couple of days with us there and looks better. She's under a lot of stress with work, the kids and the house.........and it takes it's toll after awhile.
That's when the old chronic Lyme starts rearing it's ugly head and she gets Bell's Palsy or she passes out. Do I have to tell you about this type of stuff?????!!!!!!!!
When did you see the baby last? Tell me how she is and PLEASE send me a new picture. How old is she? Oh Tin.........I love my grandchildren so much. They are precious. This is a wonderful time in our lives and we're so lucky to have them.
Here's a picture of Jordie after Lou and I helped her build a snowman. To tell you the truth, Lou did most of the work. My snowman had a little bitty head......he looked very strange!
Love, Angela
PS - Picture not included due to attachment problems ... Lou B
********* so that's the latest i know!! at least lori is better and getting much needed REST with grandma and grandpa there! betty
