Hey Eileen, I'm so sorry you're going through this but welcome and so glad you found this site!

Lot's of great people and lot's of great info.

Please go to the "Seeking a Doctor" section and post for an LLMD (Lyme Literate Medical Doctor) near you.

This is the only doctor that will be able to treat you with all the necessary meds.

The good news is that with proper treatment you will get your mind and body back.

Lauren

Eileen, so sorry you have joined the "it's all in your head" group. Trust me, it's not.

Follow Lauren's directions to find a LLMD (Lyme Literate Medical Doctor) for treatment. There may also be a support group in your area. The link is in the upper left box

Also, don't let them tell you it's fibromyalgia, or chronic fatigue syndrome, or Lupus...etc.

Many of us were misdiagnosed for decades that way.

You have the positive blood tests, which itself is a miracle as you will learn.

Don't believe doctors who tell you it's something else, or all in your head, get the right treatment now to avoid worsening of the disease.

The folks here are wonderful. Ask for all the help you need, and they will assist you on the right path. Keeping you in prayer.

Eileen,

Welcome to our own hell.

Please find a LLMD - Lyme Literate Medical Doctor. You might have to travel because you know...Lyme isn't in Colorado, right...lyme is everywhere. I am so tired of hearing that.

You will also have to do some research. Even after you find a LLMD you probably won't be able to tell your other doctors that you have Lyme. They will not believe you.

Please don't let that stop you from trying to get treatment. Read this board, there are a lot of knowledgable people here.

Regards,
Shalome

I thought of an answer for We don't have Lyme in ...

We don't have a planet, we don't have a sun, we don't have a universe, do we? Nope, no chance of it. (Dish it back...)

And for the It's all in your head biz, well, that's where the spirochetes are, presumably within twelve hours of infection.

So I like to start a discussion about all the things I know that are going on in the head and from the head due to bacteria that broke through the blood-brain barrier and got into our brain.

This discussion can last awhile, depending on how much you know - the more you study about the borrelia and what they do, the more you'll know and be able to filibuster for awhile on the subject.

And yes, with CDC-positive tests, well, get thee to an LLMD for treatment.
