I can very much relate. I am 42, have 2 kids (boys) already, one with lyme, one without. I test positive for coinfections, but neg for lyme (but cd57 of 27).
Part of me would very much like to try for a little girl. But between my age (eggs are probably bad!!), my health (sooo tired) and my experiences with my son's illness (rough...) I just can't do it.
To top it off, I can't take abx, and am even having trouble with homeopathic tx. My tummy just can't take it.
So, for me, tx during pregnancy to prevent infecting the baby isn't an option, and waiting until I've been through tx long enough to supress the infection, isn't an option either.
So I love my little ones, am thankful for having what I have, and move forward.
There have been posts here in the past on this subject, and they may give you more hope in regards to some day becoming a parent (assuming that you don't have age and health factors like I do!!) You should do a search on this topic to see what others have said in the past.
Take care, kp

I had posted a similar topic in the medical questions forum. Page 2 or 3 I think....
The topic name was "Can a semen sample be tested for Lyme"
I hear you... I am very scared. In fact my Wife and Son are getting tested tomorrow.
He is showing strong symptoms at age 2 1/2. My wife is even worse.
I want more children, but will not put them through the suffering. I just couldn't fatham it.
