alex is paralyzed & on ventilator the last 2 yrs. plus/minus. went to bed healthy 1 night and next day woke up and couldn't walk; at age 11 her journey began.

I want to receive Journal update notification e-mails.

Alex is not doing very good right now. It looks like the infection is back causing her heart rate and temp. to be up. Nothing else seems to be going right either!!

UNCLE MIKE

I've been praying for Alex also.

Thank you Bettyg and Uncle Mike for keeping us updated on her condition.

My memory is poor, can you please remind me, is she under the care of an LLMD? Is she being treated for Lyme? I remember reading that she was positive for Lyme and some other infections but I don't remember if her family ever found a doctor willing or able to treat her properly.

And to Alex, if you're reading this here. Hang in there sister! Your strength is an encouragement to me. When I think I'm having a bad day I think of you and you make me fight through it. I'm praying for a miracle and I can't wait for the day when you will be able to get up out of that bed! Hugs to you:)

tincup, gael, and sammy, thanks for replying! xox

sammy,

alex can NOT move at all except for her eyes!! so her twin sister, jaci, and parents can read to her as they do as well as uncle mike when he comes to spend quality time with her.

to my knowledge, still NOT being treated by any llmd. they can't move her with her being on ventilator.

she is signed up with NIH study; CAN'T REMEMBER NAME!

someone posted about it the other day, and i wrote mike to see if she was in that. YES, but it wasn't called that when they signed her up for it.

her story is shown in her JOURNAL NOTES; who she has seen; results of her tests; and meds she's been on. nothing working to date. betty

Everyone should write to the governor of Iowa. Alex should never be like this! President Obama saw her and made a promise he didn't keep. Now she lay dying. Please everyone call white house and tell them about Alex Hermstad of Iowa and if the President will keep his promise or at least get some ILADS docs to her as she is positive for Bartonella, lyme and HHV 6.
She should have had a lyme protocol a long time ago. Call the white house and leave this message please. I have!
Trish
