If you are considering vision therapy for your 7 year old and he/she is infected with Lyme, I would let the therapist know. I believe Lyme can have a large effect on small muscle control in some people, and that type of control is exactly what vision therapy is developing.

You might check out the book & DVD "Yoga for Your Eyes"
Vestibular rehabilitation may also be of help as that work focuses a lot on vision exercises, too. Of course, if you can, a LL therapist is best. Otherwise, the therapist tends to think the patient is just a wimp and that's a really bad dynamic, especially for a young child.
Also, unless they are LL, the therapist may deny the need for rest breaks and push too hard.
