We live in Indiana.

It would be great if they were Lyme literate, but I'm sure the odds of finding that are small.

Please pm me if you know of someone, because I don't think we can give doctors names.

It's for my 7 year old-

Thanks,

2roads

If you are considering vision therapy for your 7 year old and he/she is infected with Lyme, I would let the therapist know. I believe Lyme can have a large effect on small muscle control in some people, and that type of control is exactly what vision therapy is developing.

i'll send you a ll opthamologist highly recommended; check your profile for penn one....

also a note 8 month waiting list at time i updated that; have no idea about presently!!

hopefully others surrounding you can give you input.

otherwise, go to top of seeking drs. to phyllis mervine's post about state yahoo lyme groups; ask them.

otherwise, go to support leaders in leaf left side. CALL CLOSEST ONE TO YOU; don't email; many are too sick to reply. [Smile] good luck.

You might check out the book & DVD "Yoga for Your Eyes"

Vestibular rehabilitation may also be of help as that work focuses a lot on vision exercises, too. Of course, if you can, a LL therapist is best. Otherwise, the therapist tends to think the patient is just a wimp and that's a really bad dynamic, especially for a young child.

Also, unless they are LL, the therapist may deny the need for rest breaks and push too hard.

Thanks Betty. I did have an appt with him, but cancelled a few months ago......stupid.

I will reschedule to seek answers for TBD eye issues.

I still want to do some VT, so I will review the other literature you gave me.

What a big help! [group hug]

Thanks Keebler, I will look into this as well....I really would like some excercises. That's what I'm going for.

Dr. Jones really did not say it was lyme related, but I don't see how you can say it might not be [shake]

I just keep chuggin'
