Anyone else having bad stormy weather?
It has been raining,pelting rain, hailing up to large cherry size,windy and thunder and lightning for almost an hour and a half now... it's about a quarter to three here.
Yipes,I hope the roof was sealed really well here, I know it is leaking at the old place...
I am surprised we still have power... the weather is giving me a headache too,and i hate that...
Hope everyone else is alright!

Of course. The barametric pressure can cause lots of inner ear stuff and that contributes to other symptoms all over the brain and body.
My personality, well, I would have love to have studied storms close up. My body, however, just can't take it as before lyme.
My adrenals are usually burnt toast from a thunder storm (or a wind storm). Adrenal support, magnesium, calcium, fish oil are all vital helpers and I also add regular cat's claw to calm nerves, as well as skullcap tincture if I need more CNS calming.
Ginger can help the inner ear/nausea stuff but it can be a bit stimulating so balance with other calming stuff.
Holy Basil (Tulsi) is also very calming as is Milk Oat Seed . . .

Oh noooo! I hate storms... I get so scared esp if we are driving. Please be safe. I loved living in the Bay area, because the chance of a tornado was pretty much zero.
We had storms last night, no hail though, just lots of wind, lightning and rain.

I knew I forgot something..I was gonna get some more ginger the other day...
Be careful up there in CT, a friend on another line is up in CT.and their area has a tornado watch out.
We are in the calm before the next part starts...still warnings and watches...hoping there wont be any tornadoes here this time.
The street we turn on, to get to our lane is still blocked, w/ mud,rocks and debri, a young friend of ours, from where TxC used to work at Youth home,
has no driveway,it slid down our road... They live above us w/ part of the hills behind them...
I am shocked but delighted that we still have power.
Weather News is on, some of our hail was half dollar size...yikes... guess that's why we have some minor dents here and there.
I gotta try some tulsi,Keebler,and soemthing for adrenals... I think I'll take abit more Cats Claw too at bed time...my arms feel so achey and heavy.
Y'all stay safe,and watch out for lightning, trees down mud slides and so on!!!

I hate storms too.
But my 5 year old is really into tornadoes right now and would love to see a real one.
I said yeah, that would be cool, but I don't want to see one bearing down on our house!

President Lincoln's wife, Mary Todd, was terrified of thunder storms. And the word "terrified" is the one most often used. I wonder, though, if it's not just that it made her so ill.
When they lived in Springfield, IL early in his political life, he would be summoned home any time thunder started to roll. She would get violent headaches from storms, too.
I understand that now. I used to live just a few hours from there (in Southern Illinois) and we'd get whopper storms. It wasn't until I got ill with "mono" that they made me feel so sick.
After studying Mary Lincoln even just a little bit, anyone who has lyme would have to wonder if lyme (or other brain infections) might not have been at the root of some of her physical and psychological symptoms.
At the very least, I think she had some inner ear stuff going on for the thunder to torture her so. I'm sure doctors then knew very little about vestibular variances.
I now live in a part of the country were we get maybe 2 thunder storms a year. That is just fine with me especially since now thunder can literally send me flying. Even back in college in the midwest, I once broke my foot due to thunder. It startled me so my foot tried to take out a window sill in the middle of a dark and stormy night.

hit our house. I used to hide my head under the pillows & cringe at every boom. I learned to hide the fear when the
boys were babies but it's still there. We've had lots of rain & T-storms lately, fortunately this area doesn't usually
get tornadoes. I wish the sun would come back. The pressure changes & dampness have really raised the pain level.

The weather is much better today, feels kinda sticky damp tho'. I am still fighting some headache pressure etc. and the Hyperacusis seems worse [somebody make all the buzzing alarms stop...OY!]

TxC went in to work today to finish up yesterdays stuff,as he got stuck here yesterday, we made it to bank and got one bill paid .
They were sending folks from our area back home...so off we went back here,after a bit of a meal.We made it home,but boy was this side of town a mess.
No major damage that we could see on our trailer, the young couple next door had three leaks in the roof, that was to have been sealed last summer. Landlord and management will be busy for certain.
Keebler, that was an interesting tho't about Mary Todd Lincoln,and the storms... it does make one wonder what was really behind it all.
The tornado aspect of the storms bothers me... we saw one a bit to close for comfort a few years ago...I wont forget it. It was really freaky. I hope never to to repeat that experience!!!
It is odd about thunderstorms, we've seen some damages, a few years ago, in a bad thunderstorm, the whole block we were on suffered damage.
Anything from a couple of blown light bulbs, to fried refrigertors, and computers. Now a days if a storm starts w/ the thunder,I close the windows.
A friend and her son were visiting,and lighting zipped in the window ,thru our house,and the light over the bathroom sink went 'POP' never worked again, Scared us big time.
Thunderbird storms are about the weirdest...Blizzard-ing so bad, you cannot see across the street...
...and thunder booming w/ odd bluish lightning. That storm even shut down the town water for awhile... the tanks wouldn't pump it.
While it is interesting to watch a documentary about the storms,and so on... I don't like the way they make me feel... tired, sleepy, nervous,achy all at once.
Tho' I will admit,if one can watch from safety,that a thunderstorm w/ roiling clouds can be awesomely beautiful!!!
I am hoping that we get a little bit of actual summer now, hopefully not to awful hot...gotta go...Pupper fuss budget is getting whiney...
