Janice, it might be easier (definitely cheaper to just purchase Permanone (brand name of permethrin). I get mine at Target or Walmart. You spray it on your clothes and let dry.
With any kind of permethrin application, you are supposed to be able to wash your clothes a few times b/c having to re-apply, and perhaps that's true, but I am paranoid and spray it on again even after just one washing.
