Dr. Kerry L. Clark, M.P.H., P.h.D. (tick expert)

Dr. Clark is an associate professor with the Dept. of Public Health Epidemiology / Environmental Unit, Dept. of Public Health
The University of North Florida
44567 St. Johns Bluff Road, South Jacksonville, FL 32224-2673

His email is: [email protected]

(He gave me permission to post it on our site. )

He wants to really hear from Florida lyme patients. He will DNA check your blood, but you

must ship it to him. His unit's lab WILL NOT draw blood. I believe he will smear and check southern ticks as well.

Dr. Clark is trying increase FL lyme awareness and is collecting data. (He's on our side)

This is very useful info. I took the liberty of posting it also on the medical forum because more people read that, and also on activism. It is a big chance for southern lymies to help document the extent of lyme and get some official recognition, maybe increase the number of lyme docs in the south, where there are hardly any.

lou, when I spoke with Dr. Clark last Friday he actually brought up the very fact that the south has

a desperate need for more Lyme doctors.
Sadly, in our current system no physician in his right mind would want

to be an LLMD. Insurance denials, state medical boards attacking your practice, etc...etc..why would anyone new to an area even START down that path? God bless the ones who actually hang in there.
