Please take the time to say a special prayer for my husband and me. I am having a very difficult time right now. I am experiencing severe depression, maybe from HERX, maybe ABX side effect. This has been ongoing for nearly 3 weeks. I have enen had suicidal thoughts. My husband is exhausted and so am I. I worry that our marriage may not survive this. Depression has always been a problem for me anyway, but much more intense now.

Surely if everyone here prays for me, God will
help me.

I am going to bed now, as I am exhausted.

Thank you,
Jen

Jen,

I am also praying for you and your husband.

I agree, please make sure you are getting the psychological counseling/meds that you need to get through the depression.

God will see you through this very hard time.

Big hugs

Prayers are forth coming.

Talk to your doctor. Treatment shouldn't do this to you. They may be able to help.

After help from the medical questions board, I am now positive I am going through my first HERX. I had no idea that could happen after taking only a couple doses of a new med. I thought it was a bad reaction to the med itself. I just don't understand why my LLMD didn't tell me that when I called instead of changing my med. It has now been about 12 days and the HERX symptoms are hanging on. Depression is only part of it. I also have the aching, flu-like feeling, which came a couple days after the depression. I am going to go back on the ABX that started this because I want a HERX (no matter how bad), right?

Thanks,
Jen

My precious one Father you see the weariness,

my uneasiness proceeding from continual

waiting and disappointed expectation. It seems

that my patience is exhausted, and I am

discouraged. I am weary of asking and waiting

for healing from Lyme's disease and all that

is connected. My Soul is weary with sorrow;

strengthen me according to Your Word. Lord, I

come to you, and You give me rest. I take your

yoke upon me and learn of You, for You are

gentle and and humble of heart, and I will

find rest for my soul. Your yoke is easy and

your burden is light.

I look to you Lord, and Your strength; I seek

Your face always. Your are my Refuge and

Strength, an ever present help in trouble. You

my God are my Fortress, my loving God. Father

you give strength to the weary and increase the

power of the weak, and as I hope in you my Lord

you will renew my strength. I will soar on wings

like eagles; I will run and not grow weary.I

will walk and not be faint. Father your grace is

sufficient, and I will not grow weary in doing

good, for at the proper time I will reap a

harvest if I do not give up. I am strong in you

Lord, and in Your mighty power. In the name of

Jesus I pray amen.

Jen,

These are two of my most comforting verses.

"Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

"Do not be afraid, because I have saved you. I have called you by name and you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. When you cross rivers, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, nor will the flames hurt you. This is because I, the Lord, am your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior." Isaiah 43:1-3

I'm a very visual person so when I read these verses I can just picture God holding me in his huge hand and walking with me through all life's difficulties. It is very comforting.

Jen - please be careful.

Don't push yourself too hard.

Treating lyme dissease is not a sprint - it's a marathon, and you need to keep going and not burn out right at the beginning.

PM me if you ever need to talk. I started treatment in May, so I'm still pretty new to all of this myself.

Take care -kelly

You are in my prayers as well. I know, it does get overwhelming and depressing. I'm also new, as I just started treatment in Aug, so feel free to pm me as well.

Take care of yourself!

Many thanks to all of you. Because of your prayers and kind words, I am feeling much better.

I felt horrible for about 3 weeks, but today has been a really good day.

My pastor is wonderful and asked the church to pray for me today. I know God will bring me out of this one day and hopefully I will be a better person because of it.

Each of you are in my prayers daily,
Jen
