Now, this is not medical advice or something I'm saying what you should do. This is what helped me. I've had neuro lyme now for 10 years, it's much better than it was, but still comes back if I do not treat.

In August I caught swine flu and became much, much worse. I could not stand properly, had poor balance, weak legs and trouble breathing along with usual flu fever and aches. ITt was at this point I felt my health was in considerable danger so I needed to act fast in termso f what I needed to put into my body. Here is what kept me from the hosptial, and gave me the greatest help during this time:

1. Sambucol. $12 from Walgreens or CVS, Black elderberry extract. Without this I would still be sick. Results were immediate, with relief in the lugns and balance improved. Actually proven in clincial studies to reduce replicaton of influenza A strains. They say to take it 4x a day, but I found every twelve hours to be good, especialy considering the cost. I was on that stuff for a month.

2. Samento. This combined with the sambucol made for an incredible punch! About 2 drops 3x a day, worked up to 10 3x a day. I used the extract version.

3. 1mg of chewable Vit C 3x a day(natures made 500mmg tabs). This also made a tremendous difference. Symptoms were immediately improved after sucking on these.

4. Emergen-C(find at any walgreens or walmart, $9.99 for a pack of 30). Low calorie fizz drink with lots of pottassium and minerals. Sameeffect as Vit c, also contains 1 gram of vit c, but not nearly as potent as nature made chewy vit c.

5. V8. Gross tasting V8 vegetable juice, but loaded with potassium and sodium. 3x a day. Lots of salt in that so look for low sodium version if you have issues with BP. 600mg of potassium in a can.

6. Chicken noodle soup. I didn't feel like eating much, but this helped.

7. fresh fruit and vegetables like apples, zuccieni.

I went from stuck in bed and not getting better at all over 17 days, to a huge improvement using this protocol.

Just some friendly feedback from someone who had to beat the swine flu while also having a tough case of lyme.

I still have a slight cough which my doc says is a side effect and low count bacteria from having swine. Oher than that, all systems go.
