At long last, "Under Our Skin" is coming to Ohio. It will be shown at the Little Art Theater in Yellow Springs, Ohio - Saturday, February 20th, at 3:00 p.m. Details will soon be added to the movie's website. In the meantime, for all those who can make the trip, please plan on attending and showing support.
Yellow Springs is in itself unique, and if you have never visited, you will get an added bonus of discovering this quaint village, filled with artists and the friendliest group of people I've come across. Good tonic for us Lymies. More importantly, this village is in the heart of wooded terrain, surrounded by John Bryan State Park and Glen Helen, and of course, home to deer ticks . I am so grateful that the Little Art is presenting this film! Let's all pray for a beautiful travel day on February 20th. Of course, there are lodging accomodations if you're driving a distance. Please email me if you need more information.

Great news KBM... very nice! I'd love to be there except for the ticks!
The movie is wonderful... so do enjoy and thanks for educating others.

It's about time! I haven't seen the movie yet so I would like to go. Can you tell me more?
It would also be a good excuse to visit Yellow Springs. John Bryan State park is beautiful, even in the winter. I used to go hiking there all the time.
And don't forget to stop at Young's Jersey Dairy. They have really good homemade ice cream! They also have a petting zoo with baby dairy cows and goats.

WOW!!! Great news!!! I don't live too far from there and will be there for sure!!!
Thanks!
As a side note, we've had talks about mattresses on the board periodically, there's a great mattress store that sells organic, latex mattresses in Yellow Springs. That's where I got mine (I have no affiliation with them other than I bought three mattresses from them).

Oops! Didn't mean to ignore you - I didn't get notice of responses, like I usually do.
Yes, Yellow Springs is a really neat place to visit, and I have a long history of visits to Young's Dairy. Ahhhh...that latex mattress sounds heavenly. I didn't know they sold them there!
Thanks for the OhioLyme suggestion - Much appreciated. I'll do that!
The Executive Director, Jenny Cowperthwaite of the Little Art Theater is currently working on getting the press materials for the screening. Send her a short email to let her know you're interested in attending - that way she can better gage whether she will need to have more than one viewing. You can contact Jenny at:

Thanks for the response - I'll add more info as I get it. Spread the word, so this spring we will have a more informed public!!!

Clifton Gorge is near there. I spent many a weekend there rock climbing, about two decades ago.
I like the Old Trail Tavern uptown Yellow Springs, they had good food there.
I will have to map out a non interstate route to Yellow springs. I get run over in Sammy my winter SUV on the interstate.
If people would go the speed limit 65 and not 80 MPH I could drive Sammy on Interstate 70.
This is a touch and go time of the year here in Ohio, you never know what the weather will be like.

Yes, let's all pray for one of those unusually warm February days! We've been known to have them. Last one I remember was probably in the 1980's - and almost 80 degrees the last week of February. We're due!!! Overdue. Posts: 42 | From Ohio | Registered: Oct 2002

I remember that day, Katie. It was when I was in college, so I'm guessing 1983. I went out on a friend's boat to study for midterms. It's unusual to lay out in the sun in Feb. in Ohio!!!
