Yes, had similar results. Not quite as low lymphocytes, and didn't have my c-reactive protein checked (didn't mention anything about Lyme and abx before they did the blood test). Potassium was same as yours.

Looks like an infection to me. [Smile]

First, don't worry. Just get a real doctor.

Do not let them do a spinal tap. Unless you are dying from something else. A spinal tap is NOT a good test for lyme.

Sadly, of course, the lyme test would come back negative. The generic labs do not do the correct tests. My guess is they even did an ELISA which is worthless.

What test did they do? ELISA (worthless) or two different Western Blots, an IgG and an IgM for borrelia b.?

If Western Blot, did ANY bands come back positive. But know they probably did not test the correct bands or do the testing correctly.

Can you get to a LLMD, a doctor who knows about lyme? True, not everything is lyme but, for some reason you are on this path of inquiry so ONLY an ILADS-educated Lyme Literate doctor can help you if you want to rule out or find out if you might have lyme or other tick-borne or stealth infection.

As for stomach cramps, have you eaten any bad food lately?

Any alcohol (probably not but you may not yet know lyme patients cannot have that). I ask as alcohol is very hard on the liver of lyme patient and that can cause stomach cramps.

Be sure to avoid tylenol as that can hurt the liver and cause stomach cramps, too. Warm ginger tea (check your spice jar for ginger) can help the stomach. About 1/4 tsp. of ginger.

Carrot juice can help your liver . . . DGL, also. you can google for that term.

For others responding. Background from past thread:

YAMB wrote: " was bitten on July and its now November I went to doctor test after test and finally they said ohh you have Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Erlichiosis."

" . . .took 1 month of doxycyclene but still have the twitch etc. "

YAMB,

LLMD names sent on Nov. 21. I'm guessing that did not work out.
-------

Did the ER repeat the tests for RMSF and Erhlichiosis? They should be repeated. You may not have lyme but RMSF and Ehrlichia are VERY serious, indeed.

You need better follow up. I hope you can find a good doctor. That is key.

YAMB,
I also tested positive for Erhlichiosis, on a IgeneX western blot.

Prior to seeing a LLMD and being tested through IgeneX labs, I spent over a year going from one doctor to the next being tested through Quest labs.

I was positive on band 41, with numerous Quest test. However no doctor would give me a Lyme DX with only one positive band.

Finally Thirteen months after being infected I scheduled an appointment with a LLMD where he clinically DX me with chronic Lyme disease.

I had a confirmed history of tick exposure "embedded tick in my butt ox" no kidding.

Amongst some of my earliest symptoms were stomach pains, cramps, diarrhea, overall GI symptoms, and they continue to be some of my worst symptoms.

Have you also been having pain around your rib cage?

Keebler has given you some very good information. You may never show CDC positive on any blood test, from any lab.

You need to see a Lyme literate doctor....and not every doctor is Lyme literate.

I've had the nerve pain in the hands. Also the pulsing along the spine which I believe are the muscles along the spine spasming therefore creating a twitching/pulsing feeling.

MAGNESIUM, calcium and fish oil are good to give the nerves nutrients.

Be sure to take these in good amounts.

And see a doctor expert in RMSF and Ehrlichia. You cannot underestimate how important that is.

Good luck.

YAMB it sounds to me like you have chronic inflammation ( like I do.. with the pulsing spine etc)
And the neutrophils and lymphocytes are indicators of high viral load and body not able to fight bacteria because of viruses. Did they put you on an anti-viral or test for viruses?

YAMB, the c-reactive protein shows without a doubt you have major inflammation going on. No, don't let them call it arthritic whatever?

There are too many other sx to go along with it.

Has anyone done SED rate test on you? Another test that shows elivated inflammation.

I hope you are keeping a daily journal of ALL your symptoms. Coming, going pains, twitches etc.
Meds taken rx and OTC.

Early years I did alot of swaying. Felt drunk, I wasn't. Rarely have it now a days.

Things will get better. Believe!!!!!!!!!!! You are in charge of your own healthcare. Find a doctor you wants to help you.

Our daughter had a spinal tap, came back negative.

We were told no infections.

She tested positive for Bartonella and Erhliciosis after the spinal Tap. She did test post. for Lyme before the spinal tap, but the drs. that did the spinal tap ignored the positive Lyme as they felt 6 weeks of antibiotics was "adequate"

So in my opinion the spinal tap was useless.

Wish you luck, our daughter used to get so many symptoms, numbness, tingling, leg feel like fell asleep, etc along with many more symptoms, some have gone away with treatment.

In our experience with Lyme and co infections, You really need to see a LLMD, the other doctors do not have a clue.

They will blame it all on anxiety because they do not know what is wrong.

Wish you all the best.

Don't expect anything from a rheumatogist or a neurologist. Only one in a million has the education, skill or experience with advanced tick-borne infections.

You were positive for RMSF and Ehrlichia. You got one month treatment. With your symptoms, it may mean you need additional treatment.

It would probably be best to find a LLMD who is expert with all tick-borne infections.

Good luck.

YAMB, I hope you are writing a daily journal of all sx. Each and every sx no matter how small, weird, or seems non-relating. Everything.

There's no way you can go into a rhemu & neuro office without them making you feel like an idiot. The odds are they will try to dismiss you and you will not be able to remember everything.

A rheumu told me back in 2000 after being ill 6 mths and still running fever (102) at appt time that I had a virus and as soon as that virus ran it's course ALL my pain & problems would be gone.

I'm still waiting..........

Pam
