Chris Dodd announced he's not running again, for his long held senate seat.
Richard Blumenthal, who helped us get the idsa hearing, has announced he's running for the senate, in CT.
Richard Blumenthal has been a good friend to Lyme patients and I hope you won't hold his democratic party affiliation against him.
Dodd has prostate cancer, political problems at home and I've wondered if he has Lyme. He lives in the town next to Lyme, CT.

- Sorry to hear the troubles for Dodd. He's been understanding to lyme to a degree. BettyG attended the last Iowa Caucus and spoke on camera directly to Sen. Dodd about lyme care and he seemed to already have a grasp of the problems patients have getting care. Both BettyG and Sen. Dodd wer rather impressive in that sort video, actually.
Now, whether his actions on the hill reflect a commitment to lyme or not, I've not followed. I suppose if they had, we'd have gotten that bill signed that's been sitting there for years.
Richard Blumenthal may be more assertive, given his knowledge.
Why would anyone hold his political party against him if he can do the work? Lyme is not red. It is not blue. Lyme is green, eh?

Sure sorry to hear about his troubles and that we will be missing him next session.
I wish him well and his family too. He has been a big supporter of our Lyme work and was the original sponsor of the Lyme bill in the Senate.
If he has to go, it would be nice if my "boyfriend" makes it in there. He has been devoted to helping many people.. with or without Lyme.
And I am sure the IDSA would be very unhappy if he is elected which would tickle me pink.
And the CT Health Dept and the other IDiots in CT.. like the ones who testified against Dr. Jones... they might want to move out of the state if he gets in office.
Yes, I would like to see him get the job. He has earned it and deserves it.

I am a political news "junkie", and I did not make the Bloomenthal connection. That actually would be great, and I had forgotten about Dodd's Lyme work.
