Hi everyone,
I am in DESPERATE need of your help or please direct me to where I can find some information. I currently have a PICC line due to chronic lyme. I am very sick and this was the last resort after many other options. Anyway my insurance which is running out in 3 months has denied the IV medication. I sent in two appeals...I have one left.....I don't know what to do. How can I keep getting these meds I need so bad?? This is my last hope at getting my life back.......Does anyone know of certain insurance companies that will pay for long term antibiotics? Please email if you can help me!! Thank you all so much!!

I think your best bet for an appeal may be to have your dr. himself address the insurance company. (If he hasn't already.)

If he lays out specifically why you must have this med to get better, you may have a shot.

As far as ins. companies that cover long term abx, well, I think you might have a problem switching carriers right now, if that is what the intent of your question is. I really hope things work out for you. God bless you.
