if your llmd does not take insurance, then when they prescribe meds can they be filed under insurance???? or are they out of pocket as the dr is out of pocket????

Typically your insurance will cover the meds, just as if they were rx'ed by any other doctor.
This doesn't mean that they will cover anything and everything, willy-nilly. They didn't cover my Bicillin, nor did they cover any IV costs after 28 days of treatment.
However, there are other people with different insurance plans who did get their IM and IV abx covered.
Orals are usually not a problem to get covered.
