Hello, Does anyone know how to receive medical treatment for Chronic Lyme when you have no insurance? Are there any programs that are available? Posts: 2 | From Lancaster, PA | Registered: Jan 2010

I'll be interested to see if you get any good advice to this one.
Just a suggestion, you may want to post thisover in medical, as more people are there and you'll get more responses.
Good luck.

In Texas, we have what's called a Texas Health Risk Pool. Its for individuals who would not qualify (due to health reasons) for an individual health insurance plan. This might be something you could see if your state offers.

In Illinois we have a health risk pool too. Do they cover treatment for lyme disease as IDSA does not believe in chronic lyme disease?

I have been trying to find help with treatment cost as well. If you find anything please let me know because in the last 4 yrs I have not been successful and have not been "wealthy enough to get healthy"

nurse lymy, i have found that Pfizer has a program called Connection to Care that you could take advantage of. i am applying now for free Zithromax. also, glaxosmithkline (GSK) has a program called Bridges to Access that will provide you with medication for free, as well. i'm still looking and researching all that i can. these programs are income sensitive and you are not allowed to have any insurance coverage of any kind. how about that, huh?
