Hi all, Lymefriends, a great support site that a lot of us use for both medical discussions and for more general support sorts of things, had to change it's URL to http://lymefriends.ning.com/ recently after the admins (one of whom is extremely ill) missed a domain name renewal by mistake.
I've noticed that traffic has dropped off there since the name change, and I think part of the problem is that people may be unaware of the new URL.
There are a few posts every day asking about medical topics, and it would be good if more folks from Lymenet went over there to help some of those users find answers.
There is also a wealth of other good information in the archives in that site, too, and it's a good place to find more 'emotional' support for the day-to-day issues we live with - it's basically like Facebook for Lyme patients.

I joined the site but when I tried to set up my profile it wouldn't allow me to complete it because it would not accept my zip code as valid. I tried many verified zip codes with the same result? I will keep trying til I can get my account set up.

ouch. Sometimes Ning, the software that the site runs on, has problems. They usually resolve within a few hours.

You should try it again at some point today if you still haven't been able to get it to work. I have had times with Lyme Friends where just one particular thing will not work for up to 36 hours. Though sometimes, like Maria said, it will only take a few hours or a few minutes.
It's not that the whole site won't work, just one thing I'm trying to do. Doesn't happen often though.
If you are still having problems, post here again, and I will try to find a solution.
