I walked 36 laps. Finally getting back to where I left off in December. Been trying to get my energy and strength back since being off for several weeks.
How's everyone doing??

Hurray! Glad you are back to where you were.
I was on my feet a couple of times on Monday...short walks to EAgle's nest (decking) in the forest and a short walk to show someone the piece of land that is for sell with the place where the indians use to sit and grind corn or acorns on a rock.
I also was able to unload the dishwasher and wash some iron skillets
And to wipe down the dash board in the car so was able to use upper arms.
Thanks for starting this week's thread TuTu.

Thanks, Lymetoo! I have been down and out. Took a walk with the dogs this morning along the field fence. I have lots to catch up on in the house after being a couch potato for three days. But can't say how much will get done.

Tuesday-Me and Rocky are out of commission!
Rocky ran away on Sunday and we found him at a neighbor's with an injured left front paw.
So he's limping and my upper left back is still trashed.
We've been keeping each other company indoors.
We're gonna be taking it easy for now.

Sorry to hear we had 3 sick puppies. Glad you are doing a bit better Karen.
Hope you and Rocky have a speedy recovery AKW
Drove out to 1st Creek Crossing last night but was only able to walk to the nearest boulder and sit down. Too Weak.
Nice to be by the creek. Nice to be out of the house. Totally outing was an hour but most of it was driving on a 30 mph road.
Also walked into PO and checked mail box.

Good evening outing. Est 10 min loop in forest. did not take a break half way. Was pushing myself without realizing it until I had to stop and wait for Rosie.
Need to learn it is OK to stop for a bit and don't need to do that work through thing. It is so much more enjoyable.
Walked into health food store to get goat's milk yogurt.
Walked into Feed store...person at register was having trouble with ringing up bag of food ...I wasn't able to be on my feet any longer so went to the car and asked her to bring it to me when she had it figured out.
(usual service there...bad service)
Walked into po to check mail...just credit card apps again. They go from mail box to trash nearby.
Good evening outing. Beautiful lighting on the snow covered rim on my way to the trail head.
Also able to make a double batch of GF pancakes this afternoon and make a pancake.

I was actually able to think and walk at the same time this evening.
I recalled reading that it is good to exercise right after taking abx or was it right before taking abx??
Something to do with oxygen and spirochetes...OK...so I don't' think and walk that well...
But, now that I am lying here I still don't know the answer

Don't think so hard, kam!! That's way too much "exercise!"
Did my 36 laps today.. still need to get to 38 for the mile.
Spent most of my time chatting with my friends!!
Where's the rest of the gang??

It is exercise after the antibiotics to get your blood moving and oxygen where the spirochetes hide. I have not purposely done this, but the theory sounds good.
I walked the dogs once yesterday and went to the mail. I captured my kitchen again and made some gluten free bread. At 1 PM I headed for the bed and did not rise again until 8 PM.
It drives me crazy when I type a post and it gets lost in cyber space. I wrote last week that I had started Babesia treatment again. And it is kicking my behind. I have no patience for this level of fatigue. I can't function this way. A window of 3-4 hours of being upright is frustrating. (Can you tell I am not being a quiet patient right now?...) OK, no more whining.
Aklnwlf, I hope that your shoulder starts improving for you soon! And that Rocky's paw heals. How do you keep him from licking it all of the time?
Lymetoo, I am so pleased for you that you can walk a mile. If I did that I would be in bed for two days afterward. Keep up the good work!
Have a good Thursday everyone! Karen

I've been sticking to the treadmill and morning workout. So far the energy is still there! I've added some light hand weights while walking.
Feeling much more clear-headed since starting. And as an added bonus, I've already lost 5 of those quickly put on 10 pounds. Very happy about this.
Will go walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes and do some crunches in a bit.
Then it's into the epsom salt bath and off to babysit my two grandbabies.
Happy Thursday to all!

Wow..wore me out just reading what you all have been doing.
Karen...I know. Hate that. That too. HA!
Water therapy this am. Stopped using timer and find it much more pleasant.
Est 15 min in pool with several rests
Did not think of water shoes until I got there again. Hoping I will remember next week.
Just glad I was able to make it this week.
Printed out Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road and took it to PT people.
That in itself was something I usually can't do.....and use to do when I was well..share stuff like that with workers that is.

I did my arm routine, walked the dogs once and went up to the mail. It is 11 out with a wind so I did not stay out long. Thankfully the sun is out so the house is at least bright and cheery.
Topaz, I am envious! Go girl! And babysitting two grandchildren too! That would exhaust me...
KAM, you sound like you were having a high functioning day. Yeah! =)

Topaz...sounds like a good day yesterday
Karen...burr!
yes going through one of those able to do more than usual cycles. I like it!
Went out to the near by trail head this am. Able to hold a conversation while on the trail with the hiker for est 10.
Hiker is heading out for an all day adventure. He saw a wash yesterday that he went up a ways....he will be climbing to the top of the mountain via that wash today.
He said when he first started just getting over little inclines on the level path would exhaust him. (that sounded familiar)
he had 3 days worth of food with him, filtered water bottle system, a machete as he said the brush was really thick where he is going, gators on, a cabella like pack that goes around his waste with straps to help with the weight, fire starter and matches....he has been falling in creeks lately...and some kind of fluorescent ribbon to mark the trail....
as he said he had done this before and found it took him one hour to get to a point and 3 hours to back track as he got lost...so he is going to mark his trail this time
Good day for an all day hike. Temp is nice and cool.
he also said he has seen more mountain lions than anything while out on his hikes and they never bother him.
When he was starting out with a head lamp before sunrise he saw a few Great Horned Owls.
And he said that during the last storm a lot of trees had been uprooted and fell across the path.
he said the construction crew that is building the nearby house cleared the path for us.
I also know he carries a gun, GPS system and cell phone on his normal morning hikes so assume he has those with him too.
This is the hiker who worked for the city of Los Angles and broke his neck at work and is now on disability.
So, he needs to be cautious while he is out...he has other health issues too..last I heard it was something with his feet but can't recall what it was...appears that issue has been fixed.
Don't know why...but I really enjoy hearing about his adventures and wonder if I too will be able to walk at least a mile in one day on this trail.
The trail is a mile in and then does a 4 mile loop. All National Forest.

Reading about all your activity, or lack there of, makes me not feel so lonesome. I am a youngish mother of 3 with a somewhat busy life. I rise to the challenge one week out of the month. The rest of the month, I try to do little things around the house and drive the kids where they need to be. I spend a lot of time resting in bed. I feel very guilty about this b/c some of my friends with Lyme seem to be able to do it all. When I compare myself to others, I wonder why I can't get motivated. I know some reasons are Lyme, Babesia, Hypothyrodism, Adrenal fatigue, and meds.

Loved reading everyone's posts!
Me and Rocky are on the mend. He's walking more on his paw and I'm tapering off my pain pills and muscle relaxers.
Might try to exercise next week.
We'll see!

Welcome, snatchedid! My motivation has only recently arrived. Before that, I preferred to be curled up on the couch under my electric blanket(when not in a hot tub).
Not really sure which came first, the chicken or the egg.
Am I exercising now because my health is improving? Or is my health improving because I'm exercising now?
Anyway.
Did my 30 minute treadmill routine with arm weights again this morning. Had to force myself though. Not very ambitious at all. No floor exercises or weightlifting.
Then went to my Gram's and sat around and ate and talked.
All in all, a pretty good day and I'm glad I pushed myself a bit this morning.
Getting ready to bring my girls to ski club, then get my son from the bus and bring him to basketball practice.
Feeling tired though and wish I could just wrap things up for the day right about now...

Sunday...we made it through another week.
Kayak...miss you too.
Thanks Tutu...it makes all the difference in the world to be able to drive to a trail head and be on my feet 10 min in the Great outdoors.
Topaz...glad you had a pretty good day in all.
AKW...sounds like you and Rocky are mending and will be out and about again soon.
Snatched plus 3....can't imagine having lyme and 3 children to take care of...welcome and just do what you can when you can
Woke before 5 am this morning. But, did sleep through the night.
Wondering if we got the snow last night as predicted.
HOping to be able to eat and take meds and then try that exercising after taking meds trick this morning.
System is changing. Use to eat first thing when I got up until lyme and company. Then for some reason couldn't eat until about 10 am.
But, system is going back to how it use to be so going to try and eat first thing this am before getting out.
Daughter had 3rd grand child Thursday night.
Looks like a road trip is in the making so might be able to go see the new baby at the end of the month or the beginning of next month.
Hoping to see a LLMD while in CA too. Trying to find one close to where my daughter lives.
Hoping it all works out. Going in a van so could take power chair but don't have a way to tie it down so not so sure that is a good idea. Having a safe way to load and unload is also an issue.
Haven't seen LLMD since Karen took me back in ?
I was able to bake gluten free brownies friday night. They were good. But, had that brain stuff and the poke in the eye all day yesterday day so not able to get out.
Not as bad as it has been in the past. Discovered the GF brownies main ingredient is sugar. No more GF Brownies for me.
Can't do sugar...causes that eye stuff and head stuff and gut stuff.

est 25 min walk in woods this am. powered sugar like snow on ground this am
5 min of the walk was also having a conversation with the "hiker"
body kept getting heavier and heavier as I walked out
brain also became less functioning...not able to pick up a couple pieces of trash in car and throw away..but that is usual.
Good to be out
Ate breakfast first and took meds and supplements this time.
Bloating is back. not sure why. Planning on stopping the honey in my tea to see if that helps
learned more of what the trail is like on down the road. two more creek crossings which are doable.
3rd one is not doable.
Something about a guy from Alaska blazing a new trail to get around the 3rd or 4th creek crossing and that if you take the south boulder trail instead of the north there are no creek crossings
north is prettier
but i thought it was a loop so kind of confused at this point.

No exercise for me in the last couple of days. I started Malarone and I am a couch potato. Daily naps. So glad my husband is home to take over the meals and dog care. Not sure what I will do tomorrow.
I haven't been this sedentary for a long time. It reminds me of when I was on IV treatment.
LPKayak, is the recent cold getting you down? I have been freezing this week!

Karen, Here's hoping that after you are through this you will move up a level in functioning.
Went for a hike back out pass the Phoenix tree...first time I have gone that far in about 3 or 4 seasons.
SAt on a fallen log for a bit and then walked back.
Most likely will be down for the rest of the day.

Wow...look at you all go.
I know I don't seem to be here very consistently. We are still fighting for our Lyme Bill, but after Wednesday, things should settle down.
I do still get out each evening to walk Montana around the cul de sac which is only about 10 minutes, but it has become routine, so that is a huge step from doing something like this once or twice a week.
Hope everyone is having a good Super Bowl Sunday.
