I am wondering if anyone has suggestion on getting financial help. Over the past three years I was able to continue working even after being in the hospital more times than I can count. I could no longer afford my premium payments on my insurance so I lost coverage. I applied for disability but was denied stating that "although your case is severe we still feel you have the ability to work at a job which doesn't require you to do much" are you kidding what type of job would that be?

I am currently receiving basic prescription coverage through the state but it doesn't cover half of the medicine I am on, including Bicillin.

Should I hire a lawyer to take on my disability case?
Can I apply for Medicaid? And how do I do that?

Is there any companies or online pharmacy I can use to get my prescriptions cheaper.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Thanks so much I think this site is going to be a life saver for me.

Let me do some searching for you. I did find this:

Generic Rocephin
http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/39004

Well, that one may not help any!!! I know you can apply to the manufacturers to get financial help with that company's meds.

try this:

Keep trying for disability; first time rejections are common. Do a search here about applying for disability, lots of good threads in the past. Hope you have success.

It is just my opinion, but it might be a good idea to hire an attorney. My doctor told me it is harder and harder to get SSD. My lawyer told me it could take up to two years to get disability.
