My brother in law just passed away this afternoon. We do not know how or from what. He had Primary Progressive MS. He was wheelchair ridden, and pretty much blind. He was complaining of his legs and eyes hurting him and went and laid down for a nap. He never woke back up. I am so heartbroken and don't know what to say or do for my husband. It makes it especially hard, cause I'm not home. I'm away getting my IV treatments for 30 days. He's home with the children. The funeral is in a few days and I'm debating if I should stop my treatment and go or what? This is horrible.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Can you go home for a few days and then go back to resume your IV treatment? I can't imagine how hard it would be to be away from your loved ones right now.
Wishing you and your family strength and peace through this trying time.

kareamber, so very, very sorry. Oh, that is very heartbreaking.
My sister died several years ago and my/our brother was out of the country. Since she was cremated, we decided to wait until our brother arrived back to the USA two weeks later before we had the memorial service. In our situation it was possible.
If that's not possible in your situation, I pray God lead you what is the right thing for you to do and that He give you His peace that is beyond understanding.
I said a prayer for you and your family. The Lord says that He is close to the broken hearted. May you sense His closeness.

What is your gut telling you to do? I'd go with that.

I am so sorry. My prayers are with you and your husband during this difficult time.
As far as what you should do as far as whether or not to go, it seems like other posters said that it should be possible to stop treatment or change to orals so that you could go...
I don't know if you are physically capable of all of this travel and all, but it seems to me that being there for your husband and kids would be a great idea if you could...I wish you the best no matter what you decide!
