Here we go! Another week. I am a little better than last week.
Hope everyone else is better too! Let's see what we can get accomplished this week while moving our bodies.
So far Mr. Brewster has been bathed. Can't say he likes it all that well, but at least I did not have to pull him back into the shower over and over. Then of course the house smelled like wet dog...
I am hoping to get some laundry done too. That involves the stairs, which have become my enemy.
The weather is supposed to be beautiful where I am this week. Sunny in the low 50's! That is wonderful for up here! =)
How is every one else?
Best, Karen

I was up and out this am. Spring fever...Had to go to my favotite stores and look at plants.
Got some coconut shells for my pots and 14 bags of mulch... the guy at home depot had to put them in the van for me.
They will sit there until I get someone to take them out for me.
So I did alot of walking today, and walked up the "Big hill" to get the boys from the bus stop.
It's been a painful day, but a productive day.

Hi there!!!
Monday-Me and Rocky 1 mile today.
Karen-I need to wash Rocky too. Found a groomer that charges only $20 for a wash and a nail trim so might give that a try.
Diane-Repotted some plants myself yesterday. Have two pots by the front door now and they look great!
See you all later!

well...i pulled out of the house deal. i was all ready to buy and when i went to do the walk thru before the closing there was water 3/4 of the way around the house so high it was touching the siding in places. i have a history of respiratory problems from mold and bad air. there is no way i could risk it. but it means i have lost money so probably can't buy another house.
i feel blessed i didn't buy it last week and then this week have the water come up like that...but still...i don't know what to do. i have owned a house since i was in my mid twentys. i have bought and sold 10 or more over the years. none of the closings had any problems. how can so many things go wrong...and then it get blamed on me?
i got a few very short walks in thru all of this. but missed PT today.
tomorrow friends are helping me unpack and get the apt set up again. i really don't have enough money to throw away...but the alternative was to get locked into a mortgage on a house i couldn't live in and couldn't afford t fix...i need spring.

Yesterday, Bob and I went to Johnny's seeds for our vegetable garden seeds. It was a four hour round trip. I had short sleeves on and the windows down! It was wonderful. Did not get much exercise though.
Today, I walked up to the mail. And went to the grocery store. Would like to clean up outside for a while but I am not sure the energy will hold.
Kayak, so sorry about the house. Especially with all of energy expended on packing! Uggh... Hope you can get settled again quickly.
Take care every one!

Haven't done to much today. Yesterday my neighbor
called in a panic... she couldn't find one of her dogs she sits.
I went sprinting down the hill to help. Bert has pine straw all in her back yard... well I slipped and fell and needless to say I am in pain today.
I did find the dog hiding under the house.
Seems like there is always drauma at my house.
Hope everyone has a good day.

I walked up to the mail again this morning. I still get short of breath by the time I get there. Thankfully, my legs don't feel as weak though.
My MIL is away, so I vacuumed and mopped her apartment. Mud season is hard on the floors especially with two dogs.
That's it for me. If I don't get what ever done I am supposed to by noon, it has to wait until the next day.
Diane, I hope the payback from your good deed is short!

We're just enjoying the spring-like weather here. It's been hitting 60 degrees! I think I'll cry if it snows again.
I've been feeling good again for the past three days. Haven't wanted to say it out loud though...afraid to jinx myself!
Yesterday I went to my lyme doc appointment, Target, then grocery shopping, then home to putter around the yard and clean it up a bit, then even managed to play some catch with the kids. After that, I cooked a big meal of corned beef and cabbage with all the fixings.
I felt like I could have gone all day!
Today I'm feeling good again.
I took my friend to her therapy appointment since she can't drive alone, then we browsed in a couple of antique shops and visited our other friend at her hair salon.
I bought a pilates dvd and we were supposed to start doing that together but we ran out of time.
Next week we will! *fingers crossed* that this feeling good thing lasts...at least for a little while? Please, powers that be?
Have a good rest of the week, everyone. Posts: 423 | From Upstate NY | Registered: May 2009

I had a few minutes, and I've missed you all so much, that I decided to crash your little exercise party.

I actually made it back to the gym this week. 1.5 miles for me!

Lou, good to hear from you.
Others I will read what you all have been doing when that part of the brain is working better.
Able to walk 10 min in the forest this am without a rest..but pretty much had to stay focused on just putting on step in front of other. had no idea what Rosie was off doing.
Pushed myself..determined to be on my feet 10 min without resting. Looking back...that was not really necessary and hoping I will learn some day that I don't need to do that.
also able to sit upright while the maintenance guy (used to be hair stylist) put non toxic color on my hair) Moral booster
Able to take a sit down shower this am.
Able to get dishes out of DW...on my feet for 5 min before back pain and body and brain shut down in general.
All in all a more productive morning than I have had in a long time.
Down for the count now and hoping to be able to do more later this evening.

Have I mentioned that I am very envious of those with a heated pool for exercise?
OK Melissa, we need to do something to help you remember the time. I put my appointments on a big calendar placed on the side of the refrigerator. And I put the times in red.
My husband sets an alarm on his cell phone. I have not clue how to do that but I think most have that function now. Or I have had him call me an hour early to remind me if I am feeling foggy. I know how much you want to get there, that is why I am giving this unasked for advise. Please don't be offended.
Lou!! So glad to hear from you! =) It sounds like you are doing really well. Thanks for giving us an update.
LPkayak, so sorry to hear the black cloud is present. I hope that it passes quickly and you start getting to do the things that make you happy.
Aklnwlf, sounds like you and Rocky are on the mend. Wish you success with the flea market. I love those!
KAM, so glad you were able to get out.
Lymetoo, yes working in the church kitchen counts.
Kudos Pam for meeting your goal!! Yes, exercise is great for us. But we need to be careful to not over do. Perhaps going three times a week but modifying the routine so it is not too much of a strain. It is good that it is spaced with a day of rest between. Gives your body a chance to recover.
Diane, I am envious of your being able to plant flowers. I am at least 2 months away from being able to do that.
Have a good Saturday every one!

Able to drive 17 miles out of town and sit by creek to have a frap this am. Good to be out.
But, campers are back. Pack it in. Pack it out please.
Karen...it is so nice to be in a warm pool...even if it is a very small therapy pool. I am so thankful that physical therapy moved across the street from me too.
Melissa...haven't read your post yet but read Karens. I set my kitchen timer.
I also purchased a white board type of thing on line from Walmart....I just peeled it off and stuck it on the back of my front door...kind of like shelving paper that comes with a marker. Easy to remove to without marking up door.
I also use the wall calendar thing.
I use the door thing as I have gone out the front door to toilet Rosie and completely forgotten I had an appointment.
Started off putting a sticky on the back of the front door.
Kayak...most likely also exhausted and drained too.
Pam...it is tricky trying to figure out just how much to do. I tried doing twice a week when I was functioning better but it only lasted one week.
Still trying to just be able to go for 10 min once a week routinely at this point...that is my goal. Have yet to have a month where I achieve that goal.
Tutu....all the movement and multi tasking that you did in the kitchen certainly counts.
OK Merry Girl...read your post. I learned I need to go first thing in the morning. Perhaps finding a time that works for you would help too.
OK That is all the catching up my brain can handle now. Hoping to be back later to read more.
Good to hear about all the moving of the bodies and brain going on.
