March 21 (Sunday) 2PM - 4:30PM Under Our Skin - Lyme Disease Documentary
"Under Our Skin" is a film that exposes the hidden story of Lyme disease. Information on the film can be seen on "www.underourskin.com". A presentation by Lyme disease experts, Kim Ruggiero and Dr. Eva Sapi, Ph.D., will follow the film. Kim Ruggiero, artist and gallery owner, is a victim of Lyme disease who was misdiagnosed for years before receiving treatment. Subsequently, Kim has spent many years educating the public about the disease. Dr. Eva Sapi, professor of biology and environmental studies at the University of New Haven, will discuss her pioneering research on the bacteria that causes Lyme Disease.

After talking with several people before and after the film, I was amazed by what I heard. Believe it or not, people that live in the town that the disease was named after have had the same difficulty getting a dx as the rest of us have had!!!
