To note- the editing needs a LOT of help- very annoying. They repeat entire sections, but then go on to new footage. So you can watch the entire 20 minutes if you want... and note at some point they start the whole movie over automatically.

It seems they had to go overseas to find Lyme patients (who have more than just a rash) in order to make a movie. HA!
Patients reported:
Sunburn- like symptoms? Leg cramps? Forgetfulness? Double vision? Headaches?
What I want to know... are they subjective or objective symptoms... and are they listed as one of the few accepted symptoms in the IDSA Guidelines that you are allowed to have to have Lyme disease?
Bed-ridden lady, which is surprising that she was not NOT suffering from just the "the aches and pains of daily living" like the IDSA says we are. According to the IDSA- how can that be?
2 out of 3 patients interviewed with NO rash? If that is true, how can we (or the IDSA) be sure they had Lyme?
They are admitting that the bacteria hides out in the brain or in places the antibiotics can't get to as an explanation for continuing symptoms? Wow!
Talking about the anxiety involved surrounding Lyme in a positive fashion? They are showing a baby playing in the driveway on artificial turf. I thought Lyme Anxiety was not acceptable, at least according to the IDSA.
Interesting- 8,000 ticks per acre in Westchester County, NY... with 30% rise from previous year. One out of 4 ticks there are infected.

I work for a company where the corporate office is basically a childcare organization.
The childcare center in the building where I work, their play area, besides the trees themselves, is all artificial turf or non-grass surfaces.

and in what year was this film made? 1 out of 4 ticks carried them in that year in Westchester County, now it's 90% or more most-likely.
I live in the city (in Mass) and we have had tick infestations in the overhanging shrubs/leaf litter lining the concrete sidewalks. How is that for tick concentration "per acre" of greenery?
People have concrete gardens here for the most part and the condo developer (of 3 complexes) decided to plant the Perfect tick habitat. Bushes with tendrils overhanging stone walls. Leaf litter galore add a huge rodent population and a blueberry bushes to attract birds and viola! tick infestations and tick-borne disease.
I brought about 4 ticks in on me from using those sidewalks a couple spring/summers ago (and yes, ever since, I've been walking in the street). Never once brushed against the branches--that I know of, of course.
I am the least likely candidate to have tick-borne diseases, because I live in the city. Yet here I am. "Lyme disease, it ain't just for suburbanites anymore." Hasn't been for quite some time.

I dont think that was made in response to "Under Our Skin" it appears to be shot in the 1980's
