I just took my very first ketek. I have taken so many drug that you would think I would get less scared. Each time I worry about the herx (I always herx), the side effects, how long it will last, if it will be a good or bad drug for me. I have been able to tolerate everything so far except for the levaquin.

I know all the problems that can come from Ketek. I just needed to share that I am scared AGAIN. I am very tired of my life being a revolving door of ups and downs from new drugs, side effects, etc. I never know how these things are going to effect me and I herx severely.

Thanks for listening.

If it's not off the market wherever you're living it sould do some good for the heart fluttering you've experienced....

If you can put up with the tightness around your heart while taking it....

don't get to whacked out by it...it can be somewhat dibilitating in itself....

especially if it's killing the cysts causesing your mitral valve regurge(or whatever your doctor is calling it).

After my fourth month or so(interrupted)and after abut two weeks from stopping Ketek

I began to notice the flutters were less and less and almost non-existant at the present time.

However, I cannot get any more Ketek....

It's supposed to be tough on the liver so make sure you detox well and drink plenty of water to flush....

Thanks for the kind words. Herxed (no surprise), but I dealt (am dealing) with it. I am upping it today to twice!

Will stay on top of getting my liver checked.
