Mine is today Lymetoo.
So far not much in the Happy part of the birthday!
My friends know I sleep late into the morning because of Lyme. But I got two singing birthday messages and the first one woke me up giving me a headache and pounding heart at 8:00 am!
It's 2:30 now and am so tired I'm going to try to take a nap!
I didn't answer the phone, but lay in bed listening and tried to be thankful for good friends who would care to call sing me a happy birthday message. Being thankful helps!
Still a little irritated though!

Aw, pick a day! Mid-May. My mommie told me to never post my Bday on line
Or maybe it was my bra size?
Or my weight?
Or my locker combination?
Sorry-feeling rather silly today. Feeling very well physically, and that has me in quite a wild mood! I have also had my first glass of wine in a very long time!
Happy Birthday to me!!!!

Question for you, Lymetoo - if we wish Sick Tick HB everyday for 10 days 'cause we don't know which day it is, would the mods move the excess days to off-topic?

Fine - so I vote for keeping all of Sick Tick's 10 possible mid-May BD days in one thread - that way, they can all stay here and not be moved to off-topic...
Is this the first time we don't know when someone's BD is here?
If so, I am going to rename Sick Tick Sick Tick Schtick -

And my job easier too - thx Sick Tick With One Birthday Date -
You know what just struck me? May 16 here is Bay to Breakers day - at 8 am, 100,000 crazy people start off by the bay and run/walk/skate/whatever their way to the ocean, 7 miles away.
In normal clothes, in costume, or otherwise...
The top people who do it in half an hour compete for money and a car. They're usually from Kenya.
Those who go as a group of 10 roped together are called a centipede. If we had to wish you happy birthday 10x, that would qualify you as a birthday centipede.

YES!!!! I can sit here on my couch and earn the title of centipede!
And then I could feel better about the fact that I was unable to run the 5K this year in Indianapolis!
And too bad I am not present for the event, as I certainly can act crazy, and I own a Blue M&M costume that would certainly make me look the part!

Half birthdays - ha - that'll keep poor ole Lymetoo busy - and us too - are we then to wish people only half a happy birthday wish, as in this is good for the first twelve hours of your half birthday?
Or do I say Hap Birt, Silver?
Sick Tick, given the nature of Bay to Breakers, no one would even bat an eyelash at your blue M&M costume.
The funniest scene I ever saw - a group of visiting businessmen from Japan happened to be coming from a southern route to visit the conservatory of flowers, which happened to be on the north side of the race going through Golden Gate Park.
I saw them all gather together to figure out what to do regarding the motley crew of thousands going by in their various gorilla suits, transamerica pyramid and golden gate bridge costumes, beer-drinking Roman gladiator carts etc
and then I saw them one by one enter the race to get to the other side - they looked like they were all a business suit centipede -

I was just envisioning a centipede of M&M's running beside the Japanese businessman one! The costume I have is HUGE, with big white hands and feet! Imagine 10 tied together!
And once, I wore it to a firehouse costume party; unfortunately, in the dim lights, it looked green. You can go ahead and imagine the crude comments from the firemen all night!
Seriously, I wish I could do that race one year for my birthday! I would LOVE that! My silliness is NOT getting any dimmer as I age!

Oh Sick Tick, do plan on a Bay to Breakers sometime - we'll advertise for more M&Ms to meet up with you at the start line, and if you don't find them there due to unruly hoards with their balloons and flying frisbees, you'll certainly meet them along the way.
We should probably do a centipede of a tick chasing a Lymie chasing an M&M - we could all be skewered that way...

Sorry, Lymetoo....we have completely taken over the thread with our silliness! I wouldn't blame you if you chose NOT to mention my birthday on the 16th for fear of starting it up again!

Oh no - Sick Tick is going to be our Bay to Breakers birthday centipede - so you're going to be a blue M&M on your birthday?
Lymetoo is going as Heartpalps - she can join the Valentine's Day contingent - they're very popular in the race, you know...
second to the Elvises, of course -
who usually follow the garlic heads -
and they're all trumped by the salmon who swim upstream - they start at the end and go to the beginning -

Tell you what-next year, for my birthday, if you can find 9 folks willing to dress as M&M's and run with me, I am in!!

If you could make it out here with your blue M&M costume for next year, I think you'd have a blast.
No prob - we can advertise on craigslist for 9 more M&Ms.
The costumes usually mirror stuff going on. So what do you think people will do this year? Economy in the tank?
One year, everyone ran as broccoli because some president - which one was it? didn't like broccoli.
My sister ran with a broccoli centipede. I don't run anymore - I take pics - and I took pics of each broccoli centipede that came by, thinking it was her group.
Turns out she was the last broccoli group to come through - darn slowpokes - by that time I had two camerafulls of broccoli centipede pics!
PS A centipede means ten people are tied together, so you only go as fast as your slowest member...
Now, besides the fastest Kenyan individual runners, there's also a race for the fastest male and female centipedes. Pretty cool to see them come through, a little while after the top individuals.

Hm - I think the Bay to Breakers may be televised but it's probably local programming.
I love the creativity of the costumes. Someone once ran as the Leaning Tower of Pizza, with a tower over him with pizza plates all over it.
People ran by with a chest of drawers around them and a lamp, plus a sign: One Night Stand.
I've seen people SKI the entire route!
A giant couch goes by, with three guys lalling on it, but they're actually running it, as Couch Potatos.
The large floats start showing up later - and some of them are pretty good - I recall a large Trojan horse being pulled along, and all the Elvises (at least a centipede if not more are in the race) got on top of it - such indelible memories...
.................................................
Ok, Hap Birt to you, Silve - you get the Py HDay in 6 months - Rob
