If you haven't seen this documentary, PLEASE get it. You can order it from Netflix.

As I was watching it, I couldn't help but think that this is a link to helping us and our loved ones get well.

I dare say it will be almost impossible to get better while we are putting the stuff that they are selling us in the stores into our bodies.

I am going to be changing my budget to try and start buying more organics. I also can't imagine eating meat from the store. It just disgusts me!!

I agree! Everyone needs to see Food Inc. It really opens your eyes to what our government has done to our food. [cussing]

Yes, what government, and even more so - big business - has done to our food. Great flick.

Yes - I saw that too. It has totally changed what I eat and where I buy it from. Now I only go to Whole Foods and buy my groceries. The meat, chicken, fish are all super fresh and it tastes different than what I used to get at Safeway. I also really try to avoid places like McDonald's now.

Govt is allowing us to be slowly killed by big business!

Yeah, because big business is killing all of us... It's like they are holding a gun to our head and forcing us to buy their food. [Roll Eyes]

People seem so quick to hate on the producers and feel sorry for the non-producers.

it is not so much that a gun is being put to people's heads, it is more than most people are not aware of what goes on with food production and most are shocked when they see docu's like Food Inc.

The government is involved in an awful lot of slimey behavior when it comes to many things and food production is no different.

I agree everyone should hold some responsibility for themselves and what gets put in their mouths, but at the same time there is a decent amount of wool being pulled over people's eyes when it comes to things like food in this country and an overall lack of honesty.

I've known about this stuff for a while, but when I first started researching it I certainly felt betrayed and angry. I think it is a natural response.
