Here it is only May and I've talked to about 50 gazillion people who have lyme or know someone with lyme. It's scary! This year is supposed to be so bad for ticks.

My grandson had it and is being treated.

His pediatrician has it and has been in treatment for 7 months.

The lady that my grandmother buys her eggs from has it and is on doxy for 3 weeks(oh no...not enough). I explained the whole under treatment thing, etc. to her and gave her my llmd's name.

The pharmacist at my local cvs has it.

The lady standing in line at the pharmacy has it.

Today I went to the hardware store and the manager told me he is 100% sure he has it but his doctor won't treat him because he keeps having negative tests.

Spent about a half hour with him giving him the info he will need and left him with my lyme doctor's name.

It's so horrible because he seemed so desperate, and then so happy to hear that he is not crazy, tests are inaccurate, and that there are doctors treating lyme clinically.

He's having horrible headaches, cognitive issues...not even remembering his coworkers names at times, and pain and fatigue. It's really beginning to affect his work.

His wife has lyme, and his brother and father have lyme.

Is it NOT amazing that his doctor will not prescribe this man antibiotics???

Just gave brochures and info to a fellow cardiac rehab patient on Monday.

It's terrible that it is all around us.
