Went to my supposed LLMD this week for my "monthly" check-in. I have been on Biaxin for 1 month then Biaxin and Flagyl for 1 month. My feet hurt so badly, it feels like I am walking on knives. It never goes away. I struggle to get around the house. I am stiff as a board, cant sit, cant stand not to mention that my 5th grader IS smarter than me right now. I cant spell, or focus and I am so tired. I am swollen everywhere, my feet/legs look like kielbasa, I've gain 50 lbs in the last year.

I have been sick for about 2 years so I know it will take time to get better, but... I asked the LLMD about co-infections, he got a annoyed and said that the chance of having a co-infection is very small, it's not worth testing, and the meds he is giving me should cover them even in the remote chance I had one. I pushed the issue a little and he got attitude and said he would give me a script to test for them if I wanted.

He spends about 3 minutes in the room and he just keeps saying, "Don't worry, we'll get you better". I asked him about the swelling and he just said it could be from the meds, hello... I had swelling before I started the meds.

I took an brain MRI to him last month to take a look at, there was some white matter and I wanted his opinion, he asked me to leave it cause he didnt have time to look at it. Fastforward this month and I asked him if he looked at it, he said oh, well I have a lot of MRI's I am not sure, then said no, he never looked at it but a lot of lyme pts have white matter. grrrrrrrr

I am allergic to a lot of meds so I know he is limited in what he can give me, so he decided to give me Ceftin to see if I get any relief. But I didn't read anywhere that Ceftin is used for co-infections.. But then again, i dont remember much of what I read..

He was recommended as a LLMD, I guess that doesnt really mean he is a GOOD LLMD.. Problem is, there are NO LLMD good or bad even close to me. [bonk]

Maybe I am just expecting too much to fast??

oh man, I don't know. If it was me I would find a new dr. He just sounds like he doesn't care. [Frown] What state do you live in? Are there states close to you that might have someone good?

Doesn't sound like a good one to me, either. I'll PM you.
