I was just dx with Lyme by clinical exam. Had horrible headache no appiitie chills sesitivity to light sound and smells, I also had not all there "brain fog" sharp pain that would dissapear as fast as it came . I though I just had my first mirgrane. Then I devlopled a rash looked like i got ate by mosquitos one hour then the next they were flat like pancakes and oh my itchy. Went to the dr (I live overseas husband is military so no LLMD) She (thank god) had no doubt Lyme. So here I am on a month of amoxy and filled with questions that cant seem to be answered. Do I need to be tested? How long do symptoms last when your being treated? If you do get a rash is it at the onset of the disease or should I be worried about having later stage lyme? I have always had a few minor symptoms here and there that couldnt be explained but nothing like I read on the chronic suffers. If I did catch it early will it ever go away completly as if i never had it? Is it sexualy transmited? My word there is so much I dont know. Thanks for any and all help! [group hug]

Welcome!

You need more treatment than just a month of amoxy to kill lyme...then there are the potential coinfections that need addressed.

Please read these...

Also, you will get many more responses to medical questions on the Medical Question board instead of the General Support board.
