This arrived in my Email. Thought it was worth passing on.

Ode to Filaria, Lyme and What Else?

or Someday Wil We No Longer Be, "Still Sick?"

In 1958 Wily Burgdorfer came here

From ony the ``Divil'' really knows where

His job was to study ticks from Shelter Island

And Doc Alan Barbour gave him a helping hand

Rocky Mountain -Level whatever wanted Rickettsia

But alas, all Wily found was Borrelia and Filaria

Nevertheless, it was said to be all right and fine

Name the spirochete Bb -or, ah, Lyme

Where was David T Dennis and Stony Brook at the time?

For it is noted they also claimed to discover the cause of Lyme.

Oh lest we forget - the Filaria - they said to pay it no mind

Yet microbiologists must know of its kind

Indeed Filaria disables 200 mil 'cross the world

So was it a mistake to have it ignored?

Years ago a patient was told by her doc extraordinaire

``The best drug for Lyme is not available here.''

The patient was too sick to object

When told only dogs can get Ivermect.

She could only note the word ``Ivermectin''

Lyme brain clouded the rest back then.

But anger can energize a sorry-*** brain

To finally ask why ignore what was clear and plain?

Remember that Wily told Wilson as he was leaving

``I still didn't tell you everything.''

We fondly say Dear Wily but now say to all: This isn't a joke.

It is not funny at all for us suffering, disabled and dying folk."

How many know answers and still won't say enough?

Our lives don't matter to them, but when is enough, . . .ENOUGH?

We have had a poetry thread here, called Poetry Thread; Add your poem! that Tracy9 started.

If you want, you can bring it up and add this poem to it.

And if anyone has anymore poems, now's your chance...

WOW, VERY profound. Have you seen the lymephotos site?

www.lymephotos.com

I have been posting about the Filarial Worm co-infection ad naseum, but most docs seem to be more focused on Lyme and Co.

Thanks for posting this.
