I survived it. A pool party with 12 boys. All the hauling stuff the 50 mi round trip. One disaster. My 24yo dd wanted to make his cake. She makes a cake decorated like a baseball field and cupcakes decorated like baseballs. Very creative for her baseball batty brother. She sends me a text that the cake got dropped and was ruined. One fast trip to walmart to buy an ice cream cake. I forgot my usual distaste for wm today. I did dive off the diving board which someone with 6 herniated discs probably shouldnt do. Just wanted to feel normal for once. I know you all know what i mean. So here i am in bed in pain despite the narcotics. But im so happy cause my son had a great time!

I know the feeling - sometimes just going for it is worth paying the price later. Good for you -

I'm so glad you made it through that.

It's terrible that you have to suffer for it now, but at least Lyme did not succeed at taking that happy family day away from you.

I hope you feel better soon.

If Misfit was vacationing in Costa Rica, I think that diving board might have been a waterfall...

Hi, My Theory is to pat yourself on back anytime
you do something no matter how little or how hard it is. You did it & pat yourself on back if No 1 else does.
No 1 know how hard sometimes just simplest thing are. I live alone I am only 1 to say congrats you just did something that you are too ill to do.
I know with late stage No help, I am getting REALLY tired. Yet, No choice as many of us have to suck it up & pay later....
You did IT....Congrats/with Pat
Huggggssss, to all in need

Congrats! You may be in bed in pain right now, but what you did for your son, and the memories I'm sure you created, will be around a lot longer than the pain. Good for you.

Now get some rest!!!

Thanks all...ive been in a prone position all day. Havent moved and looks like supper will be from the cafe. I did have a ton of help thanks to DH and DD. But it was way beyond what i can do without paying for it. Im ALMOST glad my back problems came before lyme. THAT my dr understands. Lyme she doesnt. Im like the many mothers who have kids and are sick and deal with the guilt. Add that i had him at 42 and ten years later have to really dig deep to make things happen. Thankfully hes an awesome kid and the light of my life.

Tutu...he turned 10 on the 28th of july. I had a mini party on that wednesday but the real fun was sunday. Unfortunately hes always known me as a person with problems. I was already crippled with back problems when i was pg. I thought it was menopause lol! I was 4mos along before i went to the OB. All the other DRs told me to terminate..my OB promised to get me thru it and he did. Id also had a heart attack..thats how i found out in the 1st place. Its a wonder i didnt have another one when they told me lol!
