Thank you so very much, to everyone!
This post truly made my day!
Yesterday (the birthday) was so-so. Wasn't feeling too great, but didn't spend too much time online either. Hubby and I were hoping to go to a nice dinner, but since I wasn't able to "pull it together," we ended up going to a really casual dinner at a deli instead. It was still great though, because I had been craving their food for awhile!
A LOT of family and friends ended up calling me, so I was pretty pooped after being on the phone with so many people! But I am just glad I picked up, because it was nice to talk to so many of the important people in my life.
The best surprise of all....is that my mother sent me money in the mail to get my hair done! YAYYYY! That's something hubby and I can't really afford, so it's a luxury for sure. Fortunately, the chemicals don't seem to bother me (even though I'm sensitive to some smells). And I just love having some highlights to brighten up my appearance!
Just thought I'd give everyone an update on how I've been doing. Haven't been online as much these past few weeks....just haven't been up for it psychologically....it has been easier to take my mind of Lyme for a little bit, because I've been feeling the stress of "still" dealing with this illness, not feeling well, etc.
Anyways, off to get the hair done soon....did I mention, "yayyyy?" Posts: 4590 | From Midwest | Registered: Jun 2008

ps--to those wondering, this is the big 2-7!
This is actually the first year where I've had a little bit of wistfulness with "getting older." Not that I am old by any means.....but just starting to realize the years are going by! I have never really had that feeling on my b-day before, so this is the first year it has set in!
I'm still young though....I know I will still be able to accomplish many things. Trying to have the right attitude! Posts: 4590 | From Midwest | Registered: Jun 2008

Yes, you are still young, even very young from my geriatric perspective, but I know what you mean about becoming t aware that "the years are going by."
Glass half-full-- thinking that is a good thing if it helps you know that even if you're not at your best, the time you have now, everyday, is precious.
PS- I hope you love your new "do." What a great bday present.
many hugs, dill
