Hi,

I am a songwriter. I have had CFS-ME-Lyme for 17 years. Just got the Lyme diagnosis last year (I've been lurking and learning on this forum since then). It impacts my life a lot .. as you know [Wink] .. so it impacts my writing too.

My 'CFS' songs deal with the reality of living with the condition but the overall message is usually one of hope or 'hang in there during hard times'.

I thought you might like to listen to one .. here:

You'll be able to tell how it is 'about CFS-Lyme' where others won't. Hope you enjoy it.

Sincerely,
Dean Brantley Taylor

FAITH (ft Erin Simms)
2007 by Dean Brantley Taylor and Regine Mary Watson

VERSE
A strong start, a strong plan
I was gonna be a strong woman
No arrows, no enemies
Could ever get to me
It was a peaceful loving place
Back in those fearless days

CHORUS
Faith hold on, hold on to me
Faith hold on, tightly
Be my anchor in a dark and heavy sea
Hold on, faith hold on to me

VERSE
Compromise, weakening
Feeling like my head is spinning
More hurry, more worry
Oh and all the waste
Gone are all my better days
All the easy ways

CHORUS

BRIDGE
Hold on when I'm fading
Hold on when I'm failing
Hold on when I'm shaking
When fate just keeps on taking, taking

CHORUS

END

I like it. It's not really my style of music, but I know good music when I hear it. I wrote a similar song. I haven't recorded the music, but here they are. The "simple" tabs and chord progression are included. It's a simple song.
