Is Robin123 and her family/friends safe??
How about other lymenet friends in the San Francisco area?
So sorry to hear of the horrible tragedy there with the natural gas explosion.
Will say prayers for the people there.

San Bruno is the town just south of SF. Robin123 should be fine.
I live about 60 miles south of San Bruno so we're okay.

So kind of you all to ask!! Yes, San Bruno is far enough away from here that I didn't know about it till I saw it in the paper the next day - wow.
The article said that folks had complained about smelling gas in the area. If anything, they should learn from that, to check something out immediately if there is a complaint like that.
You know, we think about sudden earthquakes out here, but not something like this!
Already relief efforts are starting in our area stores.
Thx, everyone, for caring - you all are the best! Posts: 13171 | From San Francisco | Registered: May 2006

PG&E is now being asked to check 5000 miles of natural gas lines.

Robin,
Sounds like they really should check all 5000 miles of gas lines.
I'd be nervous if I lived in that area.
