Probably everything within 500 or more miles is already totally contaminated from whatever was released anyway. If Lyme came from there, you have just as much of a chance of getting it there as in Connecticut.

I think that we should all pitch in and buy it for Worsmer and company to live on.

There is a lever 4 lab 11 miles from my home. It is where Willie B. discovered the spirrochete causing lyme. In the book Cure Unknown she says researchers there found out they could make the most virulent strains of lyme by feeding the brains of dead mice to baby mice. Why did they want to produce the most virulent strains?
When this lab was upgraded to a level 4, I was considering moving out of the area. I could not understand how the community felt it was going to benefit us drawing more business. No one could believe there was any possibility of a leak from the place.
Aren't there "mad scientists" out there? What about the anthrax letters? Here I am living in a state where there are no deer ticks and a wood tick infected me at a lake ten miles from the lab.
How did this all of a sudden spread so quickly? Why is there no cure? And why is the government refusing to recognize the seriousness of chronic lyme? What in the world is going on in those places?

I am in a little bit of a hurry. I posted about Plum Island in the activism and medical questions forums, not knowing a discussion had started here. Lymenet moved it from medical questions to here, general support.
True, the time it's taken me to explain I could have added my reply here. That's life. Anyhow, my post on Plum Island is just a couple entries below this post in the topics for general support.
Thanks.
