My Grandmother died Thursday night from lung cancer. She was only 75, which I don't see as old.

It's been a sorrowful time in our family and a lot has been going on. The funeral is tomorrow. Somehow I'm keeping this emotional stress from freaking my body out, though.

It's still hard. Can't really wrap my brain around the fact that she is really not here anymore.

Yes, she is in a better place and I know I'll see her again but our family "looks" so different now.

Please pray for my family as we walk through this time...

I don't think 75 is old, either. I'm so sorry for your loss, and will add you and your family to my prayers.

My deepest condolences, nellers.

I pray that you and your family find peace and comfort through Jesus Christ.

May you find the strength you need to make it through the coming days and weeks as you mourn the loss of your beloved Grandmother.

Big hugs to you.

It is a tough to lose a family member.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

This is probably more difficult because you are also dealing with Lyme disease at the same time.

If you want to tell me stories about her, or just want to talk , feel free to PM me.

One of my grandmothers died at age 75 .. and you're right.. it's not "old" anymore.

I'm so sorry for your loss and hope your family finds strength in the Lord as you/they go thru this difficult time.

Prayers for all of you .. straight from my heart.

So sorry for your loss Nellers. I lost my Grandmother 18 years ago, and I still miss her.

You will be in my thoughts and prayers tonight.

I'm so sorry, Nellers. My mom died at 76 and she was so mad to be dying at that age. She kept saying she wasn't ready yet.

I'll pray for you as you deal with your loss.

Oh Julie, that breaks my heart. I would be mad too! 75/76 is too young!

The funeral was tonight. It was beautiful and touching. Just perfect for her. She would have been proud.

People were there that we hadn't seen in a long time. Even ex's that weren't part of the family anymore came.

My heart breaks for my Grandpa. I've only seen him cry twice. At my Granny's funeral, his Mom, and now at Grandma's funeral.

I know he'll be okay because he is SO surrounded by love and family, but nothing will replace his wife's companionship.

We'll all be together again one day and Grandma is at peace but we have to live with this huge absence in our lives ... it's hard.

Thanks for the love and prayers and good thoughts.

Yes, my daddy has been a widower for 9 years now and he is always telling us how lonely he is.

My siblings and I visit and take him out as much as we can, but we're not a substitute for his life partner.

I'm very glad that so many came for the funeral. I hope you all were comforted by that show of love.

Prayers and best wishes to you - Julie

It hit me today when I asked my Mom what Grandpa's address was again... I didn't ask for Grandma and Grandpas...life is different... our family looks different.
